DH and I are also traveling without children. Will be glad to help with TOT, if needed.

Our son is in Pittsburgh, and we have been fans for years. Go :cheer2: Steelers!

Joanie

Thank you for your offer......

I will definitley need help!

Hey everyone. We have to bow out of this cruise. The cruise conflicts with a conference we need to attend next year. So we switched to the western on Oct 16th.

Hope you all have great cruise.

That's a tough way to duck out of that drink you owe me for the WS :lmao: Sorry, you will be missed.

Well, at least I won't be the only one on this cruise from the correct side of the state. There was waaaaay too much Phillies talk on the 3-night Wonder cruise that just ended Sunday.

Way HUGE Steelers and Penguins fan. I love baseball but am terribly embarrassed of the Pirates. (Worst record in baseball since it's invention during the Civil War. They are really bad. We're like a farm team!)
I'm patiently awaiting DS' Rugby season which starts in January. You from Western Pa?

tjbaggott - Ottawa Senators, uh, oh!! We'll have something to talk about on the cruise! :)

Oh, sorry to see you go Chuck. Have a great time, that is the first cruise after dry dock, warm that baby up for us! :goodvibes

We would love info you may be willing to share. This will be our first time to visit there, and we are sooo... excited.

Joanie

Great! I'm happy to share, there are some great places to visit in KW!! I'll get started on it ASAP.

I'll be watching for this too! I have the 2009 Birnbaums (sp?) handbook with all DCL shore excursions. I'm hoping to do something that won't cost a lot, is family oriented. Weather through DCL or outside of DCL doesn't matter as long as it's fun. Even just sight seeing fits well with me. NEVER have I been to these places, so just BEING there, is half the fun!

Hi everybody!! Long time, no talk. We have had to officially change our cruise to the Christmas cruise 2010 because of school.:sad1: When I was talking to the DCL rep on the phone yesterday and telling her my dilemma, she told me that she had heard that from A LOT of Texan residents. That us Texans are forced to travel at the most expensive times of the year due to the strict truancy law here in Texas.

This means, it more than tripled our cost but at the same time, it is a beautiful cruise and well worth it!! I also booked a 5 night bahamian cruise on the Dream for New Years Eve 2011 while I was at it.:lmao:

You guys have an excellent Halloween cruise!!

Shannon

Lynn... I'll be glad to help with TOT too!! I'm not sure about DD - she'll be 12 and might think she's too old for TOTing. We'll see what happens. But I'll help regardless! Thanks for taking the reigns!

Sorry to see you go - but Christmas! :santa: I'm so jealous! I know you will have a MAGICAL trip!

:rotfl2: Hated canceling but Mark needs to be in Phoenix Sunday morning. Would have been too much trying to get off the plane Saturday and get on another. 2 sets of luggage etc...We are doing the same cruise 2 weeks earlier. Good thing is we are now 2 weeks closer to being on the Magic again. Didn't realize she will be just out of dry dock.

Oh i dont think 12 is too old..........

Actually i am trying to think of someting that ALL the kids could do and not feel like it is too young for them.

Hopefully i can come up with soemthing clever for all ages.

Big Steeler fan here too (born and raised in western PA). I used to follow the Pirates religiously but haven't really since I moved to Virginia. My husband is a huge Phillies fan, he's orginally from the other side of the state.

Well I'll get to work, then! :goodvibes

I have been working pretty hard on some of our RCCL cruise planning- just about 2 months away now. But as soon as I get that stuff done I will be full steam ahead on these projects!

Sounds great! I agree 12 is not too young at all!

I keep changing my mind on the Cat. we are booked in. I"ve already changed it once, and just as I sent the 2nd upgrade request to our TA, I checked the price of a Cat with a VERANDAH! Now we think we want that!

First we were booked into Cat 11GTY. Then I decided that there just wasn't going to be enough storage room in that for a 7 night cruise for 4 people. So I had us upgraded to a Cat. 10. Then DH decided he needed a WINDOW so I checked about those prices, then decided we'll wait and upgrade at port if it would cost less then. Then I noticed we were booked in a Cat 10 on DECK 1!
Now there is nothing wrong with Deck 1, BUT we have cruised twice before in CAT 9's on Deck one. For once we'd really like a different Deck. So thats when I emailed our TA asking her to upgrade us to a 9 on Deck 2 and if thats not available, book us in a 10 on deck 2 or 7. Thats when I decided to check out the verandah rooms, hmmmm 7 night cruise, Beautiful ports of Call...... Wouldn't it be nice to relax in the early a.m, in our PJ's while sipping coffee out on our verandah, watching as we pull into the ports? Or watching a sunrise or sunset from our own room? Those thoughts are definately worth the $1060 the upgrade would cost ( to me at least). But then I'm a budget concious person and part of me wants to do this the least costly way, so I consider staying in the Cat. 10..... :scared1: UGGGHHHHH, Decisions, Decisions! At least we are booked and partially paid onto this ship!

Does anyone else here flip back and forth as much as me over their booking?

Ok, it's done, we are now in a CAT 6 and I've promised myself that is it, no more changes!

That's great! We've done all types of rooms (except the suites...:rolleyes1someday!) and love the Verandah. We had OV last time and really did miss it, so I think you will probably be hooked. :rotfl2:

Lynn I was just checking out the DToT post on FB and I noticed it said the time was Tuesday at 10 PM..I assume that was a typo for the PM part should be AM but Tuesday is our day in GC...Just want to make sure I get it right LOL.

Did I read correctly in an earlier post that the Magic will be in dry dock a couple of weeks before our cruise? If so, do we know what exactly they're changing? Flat screen tvs would be nice- we've had them on our other cruises and they somehow make the room feel a lot bigger!

(sorry if this has already been discussed- we just signed up for this cruise the other day and I can't believe there are already so many pages in this thread!)

I think they put flat screens on the last time they were in dry dock. We were on the 11/1/2008 western and they had just put them in the rooms, at least I hope I remember correctly.

I hope we can find out what they might change.

Welll we have not changed categories but our last 2 cruises we have changed the cruise dates at least once.......This is our second cruise date for2010.

Now when it comes to Hotel stays we change our mind worse than the weather.......DVCProbablly hates when we call them.
