Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

It looks like the 10/16 cruise was able to stay in Key West until 1am !
(or am I ready that wrong?)

Yes they did, somebody actually posted on the main board while they were there. Its something they do occasionally to give the crew an extra long break in port. They did it on my last cruise in '08 on Cozumel night too (also the first cruise after dry dock). :thumbsup2

More navigators are up....Twice Charmed has been moved to Monday to coincide with Formal night and we get the Prince and Princess dinner- NOT Villains Menu like we expected! :sad2: Villians show is now Tuesday with regular rotational menus..AND no mention of the Villains Ball that they were holding in the atrium over the summer cruises (all of the Villains characters for meet and greet and photos)..that is a BUMMER! Will mention more "changes" or items of note as I come across them!

Can someone remind me again how the pillowcase thing works again? You bring a pillowcase, give it to Guest Services, and they have all the characters sign it.

We thought this would make a great souvenir for Sarah's best friend. Perhaps a light pink or purple pillowcase instead of plain white.

Anyone do this?

TIA,

Jeff

Maybe they will do something special with the villains on Halloween :confused3 We can hope!!!!

So I am reading through the navigators, got to Friday and saw the Remember the Magic show. Started to get that sinking feeling that the cruise is over and we have to go home. :sad1:

Gotta go back to Saturday's navigator where all the fun starts!! :goodvibes

Grady's Mommy did our pillowcase too, but we've also done some tie dyed ones. Does anyone know if we need to bring a sharpie?

You put it in a ziplock bag with the sharpies that you want them to use and a slip of paper with your stateroom number on it - and it will be returned to you on the last night.

many also include a small thank you gift for the staff like some candy (there should be plenty of that around on this cruise!!!). Since this is really not official policy a thank you can go a long way.

And, since this is not official policy you may not get all the signatures you want or you may...depends on how much time they have to spend at any given time. It has been also been posted that they prefer 1 or 2 items per stateroom or it can overwhelm guest services.

Good to know, a thank you gift is not something I would have thought of, but will definitely do. Thanks.

I sent ahead two white vinylmation 9 inch mickeys in my box that I plan to leave with guest services for the characters to sign. Someone on the boards posted a picture of a signed vinyl mickey about a month ago and it looked really cute with all of the different colored signatures plastered all over it. The girls can put them up on their shelf by their trophies and treasures as a lasting momento.

That sounds like a great idea. BTW...got the girls email. Glad to hear you had a good time @ Sheri's (ThreeIsCrazy). Didn't know this, but Missy has been to Fort Belvoir. Many years ago, but she has been there.

Are you planning on getting pesos to pay for the taxi? Or just going to hope they take american dollars? Is anyone worried they will be OK getting to Nachi but then be stuck at Nachi with only US dollars and cabbies who want Pesos? I'm confused and not sure what to do...

I think we touched on this a few weeks back.:confused3 On the Cozumel boards of Cruise Critic there are many threads in which people have stated that US currency is still accepted.:goodvibes There are actually posted signs near the ports in Cozumel that state the taxi fares in US $.

Okay, we leave in less then 36 hours....we have 5 days till cruise and need advice. Traveling with a barely 2 year old. When paying the tip at the end of the cruise do we include her in all the costs? Little help here?

We leave today!! A few last minute jobs before we are picked up for the airport. We fly into Tampa tomorrow so Jen give us a wave if you see the British Airways flight overhead at around 5pm!

Thank you everyone for putting so much time and effort into making this a cruise we will all remember for a lifetime. I can't wait to meet everyone :grouphug:
