Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Hi Jen,
If you are short of helpers for the ToT, I am pretty sure DH's Mum would be thrilled to pitch in, it is right up her street! I will check with her and let you know :)

Wonderful, thanks..let me know what she says.

I don't know if it would matter or not, but the only stops I have left are indoors.

Thanks again, Jen :)

Hi folks, new here at DIS -- discovered this place while looking for info on our upcoming cruise :).

We are:

Me (Emily), DH (Keiri), DD (Raina, 6), and DS (Kasen, 1)

This will be our first Disney cruise, but DH and I (and DD when she was an infant), took a Princess Cruise in 2004.

After spending some time reading the DISboards, I'm amazed by the community and wealth of information here :worship:!!

I see we've missed some deadlines, such as to order lanyards, but we'll likely sign up for the DIS TOT. Oh shoot, gotta remember to PM someone for the roll call!

Cheers,
emz325 (Emily)

:welcome:So great to have you with us to join in the fun :grouphug:

It's getting a little late here, so I'll call her in the morning - but I'm confident she will be delighted to help. We are usually in Florida for Halloween and the first thing she does when we get there is suss out which street is having the Halloween party and get the girls dressed up and out of the door whilst we are still enjoying the afternoon in the sunshine. It won't matter she is positioned I'm sure :goodvibes

I'm hoping that because of all the fun activities we've got planned that our kids will enjoy spending time with each other! Jeff, my two are the same age as Sarah so maybe we can coordinate some times when we get them together ..be it at a pool or the club. I completely understand what you are dealing with as one of my girls dealt with different sensory issues until quite recently.

Thanks. Sounds like a good idea to get together at the beginning of the cruise. Having other children to play with often makes a big difference.

I built a web site for Sarah (occupational hazard). ;) I posted video of some recent events which you can show your girls if you like as sort of a online introduction. :goodvibes

Are they participating on the kids thread?

Missy and Sarah were just outside picking cherry tomatoes in the garden. Since the rain we have a lot of red ones!! :thumbsup2

Jeff, Morgan is 10, but is painfully shy. She tends to do better with kids younger than herself. I hope she and Sarah will get a chance to hang out on the cruise!

Hi Jeff,

My two just looked at Sarah's video right before they headed upstairs for story time and bed. They were so excited to see another child going on the cruise! They just sent an email to her -- their first ever (with me dictating)! I plumb forgot about the kids thread even though I had signed them up a long time ago when I first joined the group.

Sounds good to me. Sarah is very friendly, she often will go up to other girls and ask them to play. I am really hopeful to meet as many of you as possible at the Promenade Lounge.

Hi Beth,

OMG! Sarah was so thrilled to get an email with a very cool picture. Thank you.

We stayed at WL last year too, we were there in mid-August. Missy says we have a picture of Catherine and Sarah standing on the WL bridge, I'll try to find it.

Sarah wants to write back NOW, but I told her lets find the photo first. :rotfl2: You know how excited they can get. :goodvibes

We just did this about a half an hour ago! Michael loves cherry tomatoes and eats them like other kids eat M&M's. I tried growing our own for the first time this year, and was shocked that they actually grew!

We thought it would be a good way to get her more excited about vegetables. As with many other children they never eat as many as you would like, so we are hopeful this fun experience will translate into eating more.

OK... I can dream, can't I? :lmao:

We stayed at the WL from 8/8-8/15 last year. Maybe our girls have already splashed around together in a pool and none of us knew it! We are planning to spend one night at the WL post-cruise before we return home on Sunday night.

We were with another DVC family from 08/10 - 08/19. The picture is Sarah swimming in the WL pool the first night. I am sure we were swimming together at some point.

If you want to participate in the FE,
and have not yet signed up,
please be aware that the sign-ups
END THIS SUNDAY (8/29/2010) . . .

Has anyone seen/heard from Leslie recently? :confused3

Thanks!

Jen, I'm *hoping* (probably wishful thinking) to be able to get brunch reservations on the 31st, but you can put me down as a possible to help with the ToT.

Hey everyone,

I know the Magic will be in Dry Dock from Oct 9-15 getting its broken screw repaired, but I also heard they are updating the teen and tween clubs. Have anyone else heard of any other upgrades?

And we still need about 3 or 4 more volunt"ears" to man the trick-or-treat stations. If you are interested, please let me know. And thank you to those who have already come forward to assist, we couldn't do it without you.

DH said he'll volunt 'ear' for a TOT station, and I'm pretty sure my Mom will also.

No, keep hoping for something cool. From what I read the drydock starts right after the transatlantic (Oct. 3 - 15) almost two weeks.
