Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Does anyone think there will Palo Brunch Ressie ect. that are now closed, open up 3 days from now, as the 45 day mark arrives? I just checked my GTY status and it's still GTY. Just checked the Brunch situation, and everything is still closed.

Not sure we can resist this costume for Sarah!!!

We were going to have her as Minnie but she loves Mickey (when she sees anything DCL she will yell "Cruise!" or "Mickey!")...this is way cute!!!

Too Adorable!!!:thumbsup2

My 2 Year Old will spend hours looking at the DCL cruise videos mesmerized at the boat :happytv:. She just sits there yells out all the characters when she sees them. When we take her picture now she yells "I Love Mickey Mouse ----CHEEESSSEE---.. It is the cuteset thing...

To watch the little ones is priceless...I Can't wait till she sees how big the boat is, and sees Mickey Mouse, though she will probably look at me and want to be picked up at first... All she wants to do is see Belle from Beauty and the Beast and hug her:love:, and blow Mickey a Kiss..

Well we are almost down to the 45 day Mark..... It is getting so close!!

See you soon!

I would check everyday Judy, you never know. :goodvibes I pop in occasionally just to poke around and see what's there (nothing usually).

Oh I know, I can't wait, Sarah has grown so much since our last cruise as far as awareness, now she actually "gets it" to a degree..just cannot wait to enjoy her really experiencing the ship! :goodvibes

I finally made a magnet last night (procrastinator that I am) and I just realized I made an error on a drop shadow and I had only saved it as a .png, not as a .psd with layers- so now If I want to correct it I will have to start all over. :headache: So don't look too closely at my magnets, hopefully no one will notice! :rotfl2:

This question will reveal how ignorant I am with all things related to the computer. When I get into my DCL reservations, after I've put in my email and my password, I can start to input my reservation number (it begins with a 2) and all my reservations -- even the ones I put on hold or cancelled -- pop up to be selected. There must be over 10 of them and I can see this list getting longer and longer as time goes by. Is there a way to delete forever those useless outdated reservations so that only my current reservation and our future MR one pop up for selection?

I hope this query makes sense. :surfweb::surfweb::surfweb:

I thought I had a High Tea reservation last week, but they locked me out as I was trying to confirm :(

I check at least once a day.

 Hey Guys, I hope you're all having a lovely Monday

I log in using this page - https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/planning-center/dashboard/

When I start typing in my reservation number I don't have any reservations (past or otherwise) auto-generated in that textbox.

Based on what you wrote, my guess is this could be your browser caching (saving) this information and probably a "feature" that can be turned off. This isn't data provided by the DCL site, it would appear to be information stored on your computer.

When the list pops up, hit the down arrow key to select the one you don't want to appear and hit the delete key. That will sometimes work (depending on your browser) to get rid of them.

As for driving, are you planning on doing the 16 hours straight through then? That I found rough on our trip to Thunder Bay. But then thats because I don't sleep well at night in a moving vehicle, at all, especially when it's raining. During the day time I sleep very well. The 13 we'll do from Sheri's to Orlando, should go very smoothly, and this time I think we'll be able to cross into Florida during daytime hours which means for the 1st time ever, we can stop for our Free Fresh Squeezed OJ that I've heard about. Do they still do that?

Yeah we are driving straight through on the way down. We are going to leave on Saturday about 2pm. I work seconds and my wife works first shift. So she is going to drive the first 3-5 hours to KY or TN then I ll take over till about 4 am (somewhere in GA). Then she will take us to FL. I don't sleep well in a car. But I m hoping to get about 2-3 hours. Its what I get on a 14 hour shift like today...lol. I ll probably drink AMP Energy as I need it. The Florida border still offers the free OJ and I'm thinking about stopping there on the way down. We are going to Sea World when we arrive. Since their park hours are shorter than some of the WDW parks. I figured I can get sleep at the hotel early and it will help reset my body. On the Monday, we are going to Epcot. This will be a light day as well. So we may go back to the hotel for a break.

Some browsers will allow you to do that, in most cases the retained values are there because the auto-complete feature is turned on. I don't prefer that feature so whenever prompted I always check no.

I tried the other poster's suggestion about using the down arrow and hitting delete. It deletes the ressie numbers I don't want but then when I get out and try it all over again, those useless numbers magically appear.

So then I got into DCL with your link (that's the same one I use too) and all the reservations popped up after typing "2".... So I think you're right it is a feature on our computer and I haven't a clue what to do next. Steve is abroad on a business trip so I'll ask him figure it out when he returns home. It isn't a huge deal, just irksome, so I'll add it the other items on his "sweetheart could you please do this" list.

Jeff, You were right -- it was a feature on my Safari browser. I clicked the help button and asked about autofill. It told me to get into the preferences, click autofill, and deselect the "Other Forms" feature. Worked like a charm and it cleaned off information on lots and lots of sites, including DCL. Thanks for the help!

We are still GTY also! Really wish they would just go ahead and assign our rooms since our cruise is sold out! I tend to look a couple times a day!!!

I just heard back from my TA. I had asked her, on average, whats the latest that DCL will be assinging rooms to the GTY bookings. She said the latest is when all documents have been processed which is at 30 days out. So anytime between now and 30 days out which would be Sept. 30th (17 days from now!)

Glad to hear you figured it out with a nudge in the right direction. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping for all (and yes, I realize that two of them are held right after the other).

I also saw that there is a whiskey tasting (?) offered one night. Anyone else up for that?

I'm sooo far behind with this thread again 'cause we run around a lot. DH and I are absolutely :thumbsup2 interested in doing :drinking1 tastings. Never did them before so please let me know what is required? Do we sign up ahead of time or just show up?

You reserve them on the ship. I believe the cost is $15 per person.

Lois - maybe since you cruise the week before us you could let us know when you get your documents . . . mainly because I like to get the mail when I know they are coming!!! hahahahahah

I have, from the DCL Facebook site, a recipe for Tomato Basil Soup, the one thats made in Lumiere's and Triton's!

I can copy and paste it here for anyone interested in it. It looks yummy, sounds yummy, and I can't wait to make it myself! :)

Thanks for sharing the recipe. This is one of DH's favorite :stir: meals on a chilly night with grilled cheese and bacon and sweet gherkins on the side.
