Awww admit it Trina. You just think I'm so great and wanna be just like me :rotfl2: :lmao: Just kidding of course. :) Hey thanks again for staying with the girls tonight. Soooo appreciated it. :worship:

Not much to report here. We're still looking for the hamster. I have the cage down on the floor with food in it now and my DH is probably going to get a humane trap soon. Cross your fingers! :confused3

Take care all! Talk to you soon! Kristi

Terri----looks like we have a few fans of the Canon Powershot cause that is what mine is too.....it's the SX100IS It's 10 optical zoom ad 8 mP.....I want the EOS but I don't have the cash for it right now....I love picture taking!!

Well I got all our 8 on board shirts made, also got the girls MNSSHP t-shirts made...now just need to make the adults MNSSSHP shirts...it's getting closer and I just want to have all those last minute things wrapped up in the next 3 weeks. I am thinking that once school starts I won't have time!

Back to watching "Dating in the Dark" I like this show cause I love when it works out!!

Hey everyone,

So my one 4 year old daughter want to dress up as Auroa on formal night. I'm trying to talk her out of it. But, she is has her heart set on it. Which means that my 3 year will want to be Cinderella. My 5 year old doesn't care and will wear whatever I want. So is are they going to be out of place if she dresses as a princess on formal night? Thanks!!

Lila (8 at cruise time) is wearing her princess dress from Enchanted (Giselle I think - sorry I haven't seen them movie). Possibly even her tiara too !

Thanks for the camera recommendations all!

Terri

I still have two more weeks of visitor. I guess that what happen when you live at the beach. Then school starts and I can start getting ready for the cruise. I think I'm more excited then the kids.

Well, we just caught our third raccoon! :scared1: The animal services guy said they are usually solitary animals, but google answers said they stick together in "nursery's" in cities. Lucky us. We have a person from the screen enclosure company coming over at noon so hopefully everything will be resolved soon and we are hoping to pick up our cats from boarding on Friday.

We may be able to compete for the largest onboard bill, we would be closer to winning that, or the earliest to ship, we could be in contention for that, too.

Well, I better get to bed, have a great week everyone!

Ordered our shirts last night!! Cant wait to see tthem.

off to work for a long day I am sure. one of our Drs passed awaylast week, so everyone at the office has been very down, memorial service is on thursday.

Have a great day.

Mindi-
I will find the name of our camera tonight, we love it and takes great pics, in or out of the water.

Kim

Mindi-

ok we bought the olympus 1050 camera. we actually bought it last year on the ship, and it was tax free!! it makes great pics, and works great underwater. it is actually the only camera we are bringing this year, leaving the big cannon digital at home.

Kim

Can you tell me more about the 5K?
Mindi

Rob is interested in the 5K too. Is it an official thing that needs a signup or informal?

I am interested in the margarita tasting too! Count me in! :woohoo:

Are all the Kids' names spelled correctly in the FE section of the page? My kids' FE gifts are going to be personalized, so I wanted to just be sure.

My big kid turns 11 in 9 days and starts middle school tomorrow!! Wow. Time flies! Today was picture day for my daughter and I remembered to make sure she was wearing something appropriate AND had her hair done...(bonus since last year I forgot and sent in a normal t shirt)...However...I forgot to fill out the envelope and send the check. oops. story of my life... :hippie:

The 5K is run early in the morning, I want to say around 7:30, you do need to sign up after you get on board. They map out the route take pictures of everyone who runs/walks and you get a certificate too!! There are people who participate at all levels, so don't let that hold anyone back..I'm going to treat it like my morning run, instead of around deck or on the treadmill.

Raccoons….I went camping once where there was a scuffle outside my tent. I thought maybe the kids had to use the restroom as they had their own tent. I opened the tent and was hissed at :eek:by this mama raccoon as she walked her babies past my tent. The next day I was trying to take a nap on a lounger and the same raccoon was breaking into a bag of grapes on the table next to me. They can be aggressive and nasty. Good luck with them.:thumbsup2

School starts for the kids on Monday and school starts for me the following Monday. As I am the late arrival I had yet to finalize our FE’s but I think I have it all planed now. :cool1::woohoo: I’m excited. I hope everyone will like it.

:rolleyes:Does anyone have thoughts of of us doing Boastwain and the Turtle farm on our own in Grand Cayman? Does anyone know about the taxies? It looks as though we could spend about half the amount on our own vs. the DCL excursion? I am just worried that we wont be able to find a taxi back to the ship or we will get caught in traffic and miss the ship. :scared1: I believe the ship leaves around 4:00. If we did do it on our own and pack to leave Boatswain by say 2:00, maybe get a taxi by 2:30 that should be fine right? I heard that Grand Cayman gets some rough afternoon traffic.:confused3

I do tend to lurk and really enjoy reading the posts. Its good to hear how everything is coming together for us all. Everyone have a great week. Once more week half way done!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I tried to convince my DH on the t shirt front, but absolutely no can do. I will still get one for myself though.

We are doing Captain Marvin's to go to the Turtle Farm and Hell. I have read great reviews of them on the boards and have had good customer service over the internet so far. For the island tour, it is $30 per adult (not sure about kids) so you may want to look into that.
From all the great reviews on this thread, I decided to purchase a Canon Powershot. I found a 12.1 MP, 4x stabilization and optical zoom at bestbuy.com for about $170 with free shipping. Thanks for the information! If anyone is looking for a camera, there are some great sales on the website.
Have a great week everyone!

Corrina....my DH usually goes along with my corny boarding day shirts because "got to keep mamma happy",,,LOL This year I actually made them more for him. We have the main screen on the back of the shirts and then a small screen on the left chest. Kinda like Nautica shirts. So he is happy with them, plus anything for his girls!!:)

Well another week half over! Tonight a few girlfriends and I are gonna go out for a drink. I need it after starting work. Speaking of drinking, looks like about 6-8 of us are in for Margarita tasting....has anyone done it before? How much is it? Andres thought maybe $15, anyone know for sure? :confused3

I am jealous of u all who's kids go back to school, mine start Aug 31st. Well SYdney does. Nelia goes the 2nd and then full time from the 8th on. They stagger the kindergardners to make it less stressful, so 1 /4 come one day and then the next and so on. I am saying bring on school!!

Well I had to add another piece of luggage so they wouldn't go over 50lbs. and I am thinking of sending my FE goodie bags down ahead of me and then just packing my FE's I made in my luggage!

I am getting ready for a garage sale....trying to set up a week ahead since I dont have as much time to do it!

I hope everyone has a good day, I have rambled enough and need to get dressed for work....take care!

Hi everyone. Gosh, almost an entire page while I was sleeping last night. :o) LOL

My family is doing the Boatswain excursion. Richard and I did the math and we really weren't saving anything by not using DCL. We also decided just to make sure we got back to the ship on time we'd use DCL. :) Didn't want to take chances.

As for the t-shirt thing. Our family (along with my in-laws and my BFF Trina and her DH) are all wearing polo shirts for boarding day. I had a graphic made for our families and that will go on the front of the shirt (where the pocket would be). It should look nice. :) I'm also going to (hopefully) make a regular t-shirt for just the 4 of us for another day (probably for Key West or Grand Cayman). :)

On a completely separate note, Sara the Hamster has been found! Thank goodness. :) She's dirty and was probably hungry but otherwise, just fine. Now I don't have to be worried that a rodent is going to run over my feet or something. :)

Well, it's off to work I go! Have a great day everyone. Kristi

Looks like everyone is up and moving early this morning. Yes, mine are off to school this morning...3rd grader, 4th grader and a senior...but only a half day today. Hopefully, we'll have better luck in the Cayman's than we have our last 2 DCL cruises there. We have never left on time from there. Rough seas kept everyone in town for several hours..but I must say Disney stood out above all the other cruise lines..if you are familar with the way the dock use to be after the last hurricane...there are large concrete pads and the waves were well over them...we had to stand over by the street and wait for several hours...and they tendered us back in life boat size watercraft. But Disney supplied food, drinks and ect. while other cruise line passengers were amazed. Of course dinner was all screwed up that evening..but hopefully, that won't happen a 3rd time...we are doing the dolphin swim and turtle farm and then eat at Breeze's (our favorite place to camp out waiting to board the ship.) Hope everyone has a great day!!

My formal came in today.:woohoo::cheer2: It fits perfectly & is beautiful. Just have to make sure I wear the good foundation garment to lift those puppies up!
DH is starting to get into the mood of the cruise. He is coming up with some good ideas for his costume for pirate night. It's taken him llong enough to get with it. I thought I was slow.
Back to work tomorrow. Partime for now. I finally have all the paperwork together from the Dr that HR requires for me to return.
In the studio at church tonight with DH to record about a dozen little girls for Missionettes Crowning Ceremony. It looks better if I'm here with him. Not that anything would happen, but you know how people can be now a days
