I would do the secret mickeys. I can already think of great gift ideas. My only question is how do we decide who everyone has for secret santa? Do we buy the gift ahead of time and pick names on the cruise? Well, it still sounds like fun and I definately want to do it!!!!

Laura--I like your ticker! Can't wait to start on the Drinks of the the Day huh? I can't believe that in just over a week and a half our tickers will say 10 months such and such days. When we booked we had 17 months!
Man I tell ya, I guess the time zone thing is throwing me off, cuz it seems like whenever I'm here nobody else is here and then I'm gone for a couple of hours and there's a whole new page of discussion added. I think the secret Mickey sounds like fun? I'm up for it if everyone else is.

Val.......Ok U mean the thing hanging from the lanyard not the lanyard itself right? I saw the red DDD on the first page....sorta like a backstage pass right? Once we agree on a graphic everyone could just print,laminate or get a holder and have them themselves. Also for me not sure about the secret Mickey...just depends how large this thread gets. How did u have message boards on every deck...confused...havin a blonde moment.

Robin...I tried Avis and they gave me a different price. Did u get it at MCO and return in PC? Also The name badge that aid Miss Nelia? I have been on a bunch of threads so I will look and see which one I found it on...it was blank and then I wrote Nelia.

Norma.....what do u mean about FE. People post a list on first page?? Gosh this cold is kicking my u know what cause i feel brain dumb tonight.

Michelle-Yes I am picking up the car at the Orlando airport and dropping it back off at the Port Canaveral location. They have a complimentary shuttle that will take you to the port, so I figured that they would be the easiest to rent from. I booked it online to get that rate. Check Orbitz.com

What I think Norma means is putting the list of people participating in the FE under Tiggerfans first post. That way there is a central location to add or delete people without having to "fish" through this thread. It could include names of people, cabin #'s and ages of kids. Tiggerfan would have to be given the info to edit her post, but it would make life easier.

Also, for the secret mickey, I beleive that Val means that you get one family to be secret santa to. You would only have to buy a gift for that family, not for everyone participating...right Val??????

Robin thanks for the car info I will try and see what I get. I knew what Val meant about the Secret Mickey but if this thread gets too big I will have spent alot on the FE and personally I need to save for our swim with the dolphins and other things so...for me it depends how big our thread gets.

I will post the blank red badge for ya as soon as I figure this all out.

The lanyards were made special as well as the nametags. it was 2 different parts.

As for the Secret Mickeys, anyone who was interested just emailed the girl in charge and then she sent out questionaires to each cabin. Then Drea ( lady in charge) just picked names out of a hat. and then you were emailed who your Secret Mickey was. So someone would need to step forward and say yes I will be in charge of Secret Mickeys and someone needs to be in charge of F/es. ( for us on the DD, Drea did it all. ) it is one gift per cabin, not per person. and those who participated set the amount. I thougth the 25 was reasonable.

Message boards: the same person who made the nametags/lanyards made special wipe off magnetic boards for the cabin who volunteered to be the message center. This was magnetic and stuck right to your door. there were 2 message boards per floor..one starboard, one port side. ( I was able to provide the dry erase markers.) it was great for our family to use and others to leave us messages. ( dh got us our magnetic board for the next cruise!!)

I have one for our stateroom too....at one time they had dry erase hannah montana ones at Target. So I just got some strong magnet clips to hold it.

So far I have kept track and I believe we have 18 cabins,with 15 DD and 10 DS. wow look at the boys trying to take over the girls.

Ok This is an Idea for our logo.....My husband had a good one but we aren't computer handy however his idea was the cruise ship with the word Dreamers coming out of the smoke stack in white smoke puff letters and th s being the last to come out. Just another idea.

Robin here is the one I found but as you can see I downloaded the wrong ship...so when I find where I found this I will get it to ya.

You Guys are all Soo Creative! What a talented group we have!! I am up for the secret mickey's and the lanyards and the logo! I don't have a castaway club one since this is our first cruise. So whatever color you guys decide is fine with me. Well off to work to earn more money for the cruise!!!

Michelle Love the magnets! I do have the one of the princesses. You are right about Secret Mickeys, I wasnt thinking about how big this thread will get and all the FE stuff yet to buy. I think I will still do the secret mickeys though. It does sound like fun.

If noone else volunteers to be iin charge of the SM, I can do it. I just need guidance as to what I need to do.

Hey everyone. I am always amazed (although I shouldn't be) at how quickly the pages add on when I'm away for a little while.

First and foremost, as for the lanyard idea, LOVE IT!!!!!!!! The santa mickey idea, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also doing the F/E, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Are you getting my theme here, LOL)

As for the organizing, it'd be best if someone else takes over completely. There are some of you who have been awesome at keeping names, ages, staterooms, etc. You are all born leaders. I just don't have that in my right now. Will I have it in me? Not sure. But, I don't wanna be the one holding us back from doing many fun things. Soooo, please someone step up and take over. Life has been very stressful around here lately and I'm not seeing the pattern easing up til maybe the end of January. Thanks.

I think it's a great idea to put all info on the very first entry of this thread. That makes sense. It also helps to see who is missing info.

I think the message boards are a neat idea as well. I think it'd be cool for everyone to have a message board so people could write on them as we pass by. Very fun.

As for the logo, LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!!! It's simple yet easy to do. Can it be enlarged? Can you put a link to it so that we can all get it? That'd be awesome! Thanks so much for all you guys are doing.

I loved our first cruise and it was because of the thread that I belonged to and the f/e stuff we did and the meeting, etc. I think this one is going to be even more fun because you all are even more into the trip than the last group I was with. THanks!!!!!!

I love the second logo with the ship and Cindys castle! the other logo is cool too.

If I knew how to post pics, I would post a pic of our lanyards from the last cruise. ( I dont know if Erik personally made them or he had them made.) I do know there was a group of 10 who contributed to having them made.

I would step up and organize the f/es but with us being undecided about this cruise and moving next summer, I would hate to have to pass that off to someone.

I will get the questionaire from Drea for the Secret Mickeys, and I know that was all done via true email as well as the f/e list. The list had cabin number, everyones names and kids ages, and main/late dining schedule. and it had on there if it was a special event cruise.

Ok if Robin takes the Secret Mickey I will take the FE list. My only problem is to keep up with it I think I would personally have to do it on my own post and not rely on someone else to do so. I think I will post it on page 30(next page) and that way whenever someone says what is the update I can say pg 30. I just didn't come in till pg 10 or something so I can't do pg 1. It thats ok I will just post what i have and anything I don't have or have wrong please PM me and let me know so i can update it. I also like the idea of puttin boards on ur own doors and leavin messages for each other. Well off to search for more graphics , I need to start printing..otherwise I will be here all winter. I think I need 2 staterooms with all the magnets I have found.

Darn that time zone thing...you guys have been off planning and scheming while I was sound asleep.
Michelle I can see you've been busy looking for pictures! You have a lot of the same ones I downloaded. The one with the princess' making funny faces, I plan on putting that one on the the girls cabin door. I love the caution sign that says DCL addict. If I remember correctly to save the picture to your computer you don't need a link, you just right click on the picture and then save it, is that right? Thank you to everyone stepping up to take charge. I know Kristi has a lot on her plate right now and in the months to come, and I'm sure she appreciates it. Michelle thats a good idea about posting the list on page 30. Once it's up maybe Tiggerfan14(Marianne) could edit her post on page 1 to tell newcomers what page and post number the FE list is on.
As far the FE goes...I'm all for it and I'm really excited about it, but I'm not going to go broke over it either. I'm planning small that way if the thread grows I'll be OK, and if it doesn't get too out of control then maybe I could add something towards the end. We all know how expensive a DC can be! Michelle, I know you are making something really neat for everyone, but I also know that when and how you get the supplies are limited, so I think it goes without saying that you do what you can and if you can't get more of your supplies then the people that add towards the end get something else. I just don't want anyone to stress over the whole thing.
It's funny how when I booked this cruise it seemed like an eternity away, and now that all this planning is taking place it feels like it's coming faster! Well, I'm sure everyone is off doing other things and I'm alone here posting on West Coast time...so I hope everyone has a good day!

Well I was just heading off to lunch and before I left i didn't want you to feel lonely....SO HI ANDREA!!!(waving from the cold Ohio)

Here is the list but I need help making sure it is updated. If U have cabin #'s and i don't have them please tell me or if I have something worng tell me. PLEASE tell me if ur kids ages are right...I want the age for cruise time!!!! This way we can see who will be in the clubs with our kids and maybe can have a meet before the safety drill and the kids can meet. It will make them feel like they know someone in the clubs....well friendly face anyhow.

Yes Michelle that is the one. Did you put Nelia's name on it yourself or did someone else do that? I dont know how to put writing on graphics.

I copied and pasted your list to my post on page one. Just to have up front for all to see (really it is easier for me to see )As you update your list, I can transfer everything to page one. Are you sure you dont want to be the leader? You seem to be very well organized!!!

I guess we do still have time, but if anyone is sure they want to do the Secret Mickeys, I can start that list. Just let me know. I know Normas family and my family are a definate
