Good Morning Everyone!! Hope all of you are having a great morning...well for those of us up at this point. I don't know how I am going to make it till October. I am jonesin for a cruise. Feb 09 will be a year from our last one and Oh boy I am wanting to go but will hold out. Have a good day , off to take the kids to school.

I wish our cruise was here also, but I keep thinking the sooner it gets here...the sooner it will be over . I kinda like all this pre trip planning and if I dont book another cruise...well that is just depressing!!!

I have a couple more days before Delta (which seems to be the cheapest from here) releases the dates I need for the flight. I hope they stay cheap. Did anyone buy trip insurance? We didnt, but I am thinking we should...just in case.

When I checked yesterday that latest date Delta was selling tickets for was Oct. 1st. So it's getting there!
We did buy insurance this time. It's the first time we've bought it. But with booking this far out I figured it would be worth it. It does give me a piece of mind that is worth the amount we paid for it.
Well, I'm off to the post office and grocery store...have a good day!

OK I know you guys are all waiting for airfare to appear , However I would research before booking. DELTA is changing their baggage fees as of Dec 2008 to no free checked luggage...1st piece is $15 and 2nd piece is $25 per person. I have posted something with airlines and cost on the web page under TIPS. This could be really costly when you consider that each person probably takes 2 pieces with that fact of garment bags and all. With a family of 4 each person taking 2 can cost an additional $160 besides the airfare. Just thought I would let u all know this before U choose an airline. Southwest is one of the few (maybe 4) that don't charge 1st luggage fee.
That's why i am hoping to get a good deal on spirit then paying baggage won't b so bad. Or even better a good deal on Southwest!!

Well found DH and DD's pirate outfits for 75% off. Costs $25 for all 3. Now just have to find something for me.

Oh and made a couple door magnets today!!!!! They are light weight I hope they stick to the door. I am making some with just magnet strips too. Well chit chat later have a good day all

Michelle I knew that Delta was going to start charging for its first bag in December sometime, but my area isnt serviced by a ton of major airlines. We dont have SouthWest or Spirit (bummer), we only have American Delta USair Continental and United oh and Jetblue. Yes these are major airlines but not the cheap ones like you have in your area. I will just have to budget the extra 120.00 for our bags. It sucks...I know!

My dh has a voucher from Delta for free air up to 400.00 so that helps a little. That way we only have to pay for 3 tickets. Why is traveling so stinkin' expensive!!

Well off to dog sit for my aunt and her friend, who's a vet. So they have a combo of 6 dogs together, so I have to watch them for the weekend. My aunts friend bring her dogs to my aunts and I watch them all. But hey she pays me gas money so hey it helps the gas tank. Unfortunately I don't know if I can hit anyones wireless out there that isn't secured so I may be internet deprived all night So i think DD(4) and I are gonna do french manicures on our toes. Robin..Shut up! It just drives me crazy when people assume they will get something like the whole entitled thing. I HATE THAT! An old "friend" of mine always felt entitled and treated our dinner servers like they were working for her. I mean they are but you still treat people with respect. The original poster that started that thread was so nasty about everything and I guess I felt I was standing up for Disney and there staff. Plus as if the kids of today need more candy then 25 pieces..come on now! Plus it was Halloween for god sakes not Christmas...

When we were aboard DCL our first cruise we booked an inside stateroom (we thought oh we won't be in it much) and a sewer pipe broke and unfortunately right by our room so the awful smell was coming through our bathroom. Well we dealt for a day/2 and then we were getting headaches. So we went to GS and asked if our stateroom host could spray something for the smell. Unlike the other poster I was kind and not expecting the world. So for the time being they put an air deodorizer in the room(it was 3am). That night they called and said they had another room for us and long behold it was a DELUXE family stateroom w/Verandah--woohoo. So they said we will move all ur stuff and I said no I would do it ,it's ok. My parents were traveling with us so they moved them to delux room as well. I moved both rooms while my parents were touring St Maarten and kids were at the pool with DH. Then on castaway key day we came back to get ready for dinner, only to find a very kind note from the GC CM that helped us with 2 castaway Mickey and Goofy waiting for the kids. It just proves that when U go in with a good attitude and not entitled or Witchy then things work out. I could have complained that a few hours of my day was shot moving stuff but I didn't. It worked out in Disney's favor cause now when we go we always book at least the oceanview.!! Ok sorry for the long story just had to tell ya what kindness gets instead of nasty attitude.

Oh and I found this. I am using it to print cute envelopes for my stateroom host.

It is rainy and yucky here this morning...I guess it would be a good day to go to the mall. Michelle I also had a friend who thought everything was entitled to them and if things didnt go according to HER plans, then she would get really mad a make other people feel terrible. INFORMATION ON COST OF GAS ON RENTAL CARS BEING TURNED IN HERE

OK I need to really bring each and all up to speed if you are returning a car back in here at Cape Canaveral.
I did some checking today and if you do NOT fill your gas tank before turning it in, you will be charged $6.999 a gal so save yourself a little bit of monies by stopping at one of the gas stations before you turn it back in.
Just food for though or should I say just gas for though ;-)

Car Rental
All agree that the cheapest option is to rent a car one-way from the airport, drive to the port, drop luggage/family off at port, drop rental car off and take rental car shuttle back to the port. Repeat in reverse for your post-cruise trip back to the airport. Hertz, Budget, Thrifty, Avis & Enterprise, all have drop off locations and free round trip shuttles very close to the port (companies are listed in order of closeness to the port). These four places are open on Sundays and their port shuttles start early in the morning until the afternoon.

National does not have shuttle service to the port. Enterprise has a location on Merritt Island which is a barrier island between the mainland and the beach. They will shuttle you both ways during normal business hours which are M-f 9-6 and Sat 9-12. Your best bets are Budget, Thrifty/Dollar, Avis, Enterprise and Hertz.

Yeah Robin you are right....They always try and get ya to prepay for a fill up. I just have Del fill it up before be head to the port. The couple miles from hotel to port to rental place they never notice.
I got this magnet paper off ebay and it's really light weight feeling...thats normal right so it will go through the printer??
Made 3 signs. One was the green ears that said Disney Dreamers, one was the stick family(except printer cut off our family name--no biggie) and another well I can't say cause I really like it and wanna see how many I see with it.
OMG it's cold here. I wonder how many more people on the east-coast will be on here with the weather getting cold. Does everyone work outside the home or is Andrea and I the only stay-at-home mommies.??
