I would love to be able to go to MNSSHP next year. We are not counting on it right now though, because of finances (or should I say lack of them). But if we can throw it on at the last minute we will. If they offer it the Sat. after I think I would do it then. We will just have to wait and see. Right now I'm just happy that we are going to be able to go on the cruise.

Good Morning all!!! What has happened to some of our DIS'ers. It seems its always Andrea,Robin,Laura, Kristi, and myself....with occasional appearances from everyone else....LOL The 5 of us must be the craziest... I am sure everyone will start chatting more come June when there is less then a few months left and we all no more when / where we'll be. I actually wish I had airfare so I can plan everything else..Like that would change my car rental. I am such a planner so waiting is driving me crazy!!!!

I tried figuring out how to put a poll on here but I can't find it. Wanted to poll if everyone was ok with meeting for the first time Sat at Diversions at 3pm or a better location for the first meet. I have heard of other groups organizing a big photo with the DC photographers...does anyone know how that is done.??

our group photo was taken on Thurs at 930, sea day. It was taken in the atrium. I know there was an 80.00 fee for them to take the picture. (everyone pitched in for it.) we missed the pic...we had the character breakfast that morning.

I think they figured out a time and place, then on board went to someone at Shutters.

Hi Everyone! I am back now, as i said busy watchin the world series.
We have never crusied before so you guys tell us where and when and we will be there ! Yea wish the airfare was available even though its too soon but then again you book one time then a month before they always change the times !! .

We would love to go to MNSSHP if it was on Friday night but it still might be pushing us. We will probably drive unless airfare really takes a dive and goes cheap! We will most likely drive. I did take Friday off so if the party is Friday night we could drive overnight on Thursday/Friday and go to the party Friday night. When will Disney put out those dates?

Off topic a bit but I am trying to book airfare for Spring Break with our southwest credits. They had announced opening them today but so far they are still only taking reservations until March 6th. Oh well!

2008 Holiday Party Tickets Go On Sale May 1st

"Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" and "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" tickets go on sale May 1. These are hard ticket events. Guests must purchase separate admission to attend. Walt Disney World limits the number of tickets sold in order to keep the crowds down and many dates sell out in advance. Purchase tickets by calling (407) W-DISNEY.

September 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 28,20
October 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30,31

Again, these are the dates for this year not next, but atleast it gives us an idea of when they will be released and go on sale.

I am all for having a group picture taken. I think that would be fun. I just dont want to miss the character breakfast to do it. Just let me know where you want to meet and we will be there

Mindi---from reading some boards it seems about May for MNSSHP.

Val--that's to bad ya missed it. I think the most important is our first meet and figure most should make it to that cause we will all be onboard(I hope) and then maybe we can at least have a CM use our cameras and get a photo & then figure out if we want a pro-group shot. I don't care either way as long as my camera gets a good shot.

I have to tell you I was reading this thread and I think it was this past cruise that fell over halloween. there was a family as they were shoving off running towards the ship...OMG could U imagine. Seems they held it and got them on...I would die. talk about a memory

Val-did that $80.00 to get your group picture taken cover the cost of giving everyone a picture or was it just for one photo? That seems like a lot of money if it is only for 1 picture.

Michelle-when we were on our Royal Caribbean cruise this past april, my husband and Norma almost missed the ship because they were doing an excursion that wasnt done through the ship. The excursion was running really late and I thought for sure they were going to miss the boat!!! . RC was blowing the horns to take off when...here comes the bus with those guys on it. We joke NOW that he was gonna start a new life with Norma in Curacao , but back then it definately wasnt funny!!!!!

80.00 was literally just to have a photographer from Shutters set up the shot and take the photo. ( over 15 families I think were there.) so divided up it wasnt too too bad. so many didnt show up the photo because of the time / location etc. the 80.00 goes on one persons KKTW card so that person has to bug everyone for the money.

running for the ship??? Wow, that is yet another reason to stay in Florida the night before! we took a cruise a few years ago with my inlaws. When we get to the airport at 6 am, our flight was cancelled, no one bothered to call us etc. ( there were 14 of us...8 kids.) Well after many heated words and lots of sweating we got booked on a flight out of Pittsburgh, 2 hours away. the flight left by 10.... it was 7:00 am when we left. So we all took off for the airport. (did I mention there was a detour out of the airport???) Well we arrived at Pgh --I literally just ran in, to "stop" the plane. Airtran was great about it.... our original flight was Delta. we made there actually quicker than our earlier flight...since it was a connecting flight. (I was the one the whole time kept saying..lets go Friday night, hang out at a hotel. ). But after that, we always go the night before.

I'm with you Michelle--always go the night before!! We don't have a choice being on the west coast, we have to go the day before, but even if we did have a choice we would go the day before. I can't tell you how many times I worked a flight and had passengers that were going to miss their cruise because of delays. Sometimes there were people on flights that had only left themselves an hour or two cussion crazy!!

Here's my 2 cents on the group meet/photo...take it or leave it. I think it would work well if we did the 3pm meet in diversions (or where ever) Ships activities shut down at 3 or 3:30 for the life boat drill, so nobody will be "missing anything" to come to the meet. We will know that it wont be "drawn out" because the life boat drill will be approaching. I also agree that it's best to do it at the beginning of the cruise, that way we can match names with faces early on in the cruise. Just my thoughts .

Hi all! I think our family and friends will be traveling the day before (not confirmed though). So, that time should be just perfect for us to meet. Also, when we had our group pic we just pulled one of the Cast Members and had them take the pic(s) with everyone's camera. They were very happy to do it and hung out with us briefly afterwards. He was pretty cool. Anyway, after the cruise, we all got an account on shutterfly (we had the name and password sent to us via e-mail) and we put our group pics on that account for all to see. With all the cameras that got the group pic we got plenty of good ones. It gave us options. We also used that same account to share some of our family pics. Hope this idea helps.

Is anyone else getting "kicked off" the web site that Michelle made for our thread. I keep trying to get on to see how many cabins I need to make my FE gifts for and it boots me off line. Weird!!!

I like Kristi's idea of sharing photos through a photo sharing site. As long as the cast member doesnt mind taking pictures of our group, then I would be satisfied with one of those pictures from my camera. And if I didnt like my picture, I am sure one of you guys would have one I could use. Lets definatley do it early if we are going to do it at all.

Need to vent!

Southwest just opened up bookings til May. I have been checking all day. I went to book flights to Florida for Spring Break with our Rapid Rewards and NO FLIGHTS from Nashville to FL for our dates that we can use our Rapid Rewards. I checked every city except Jacksonville. BUT I can get 4 tickets to San Diego for our dates. We can fly across the country but not to FL. I know it's a big spring break time but nothing available the first day the dates are open!

Just needed to vent. Maybe I can get a Disneyland trip out of this. We were just going to beach. Using hotel and air points to do a cheap trip and save for the cruise.

Hello everyone...I know it has been awhile since I have posted. I have been really busy with cheerleading STILL . My daughters team is going to NJ in a couple of weeks, so we are still practicing almost every night.

I wouldnt mind doing a dis meet and having a photo done. Whatever is decided just let me know.

Mindi that does stink for you!!! I am waiting for Jetblue to open up their calender past April. I like flying on them becuase atleast there is a TV to watch and they are fairly inexpensive.

Ok...I have taken off the deck 5 cause it wasn't loading up for me. I will try and remove the decks and see if it works for you Robin. I will just save them to my computer for later when we are closer. Instead I will just list them so u know where everyone is.

Also the Fe list is pretty much the same. I know we have had newbies come on but they have said Hello and never anything else so I don't know if they seem eager to paticipate.

I say we all just take photos at our first meet and do as Kristi suggests..Thats a good idea. Just one thing .... Any photos anyone gets of our kids together like maybe at the pool/beach, basically anything my girls are in swimsuits I would aprreciate the photo sent to me and let me decide if it should post. I am goofy about that.....just freaks out there ...ya know. Though we have some on here......

Laura--Riley is a size 10, 12 will work or she could squeeze into an 8 if need be.
Michelle--I'm going to try and get a picture of all of us (our 4 cabins worth of ppl) when the girls and I are back East for turkey day. Ryan wont be in it though. At the port he will be the one trying to control his three blond daughters... and I will be the one standing next to him rolling my eyes and shaking my head, because he has no control . This will be the girls this will be him and this will be me .
