Oct 3, 2009 Wester Carribean

Hello all! My husband and I recently re-arranged our cruise plans, so now we get to sail with all of you! It will just be the two of us (no kids yet). I will be 25, and my husband David will be 34 at cruise time. This will be our fourth Disney cruise, but first Western. I hope to get to know all of you over the next three months!

Welcome aboard Tess and David!!!!! Tess are u guys interested in being apart of the FE or the SM. If you need info on us and everything we are doing feel free to check out our web page(link in my signature). Please let me know ASAP as our FE list is coming close to ending. Also I need a little info like stateroom and dining. Sorry to hit you with all these questions, I am just trying to stay on top of things so I don't get behind!

Well TTFN

Ok..this is to any lurkers who haven't registered with our thread. If you are going and wanna be apart of our FE exchange....U have 20 days and then we are closing the doors. So please let me know.

I don't want anyone to miss out but some of us have ordered and are making our own gifts and making the date to close will not give us time to get them done.

Speaking of FE's. I thought I was close to done , however since our thread has become a bit busy..umm I am not close! Thank you to all with kids who gave me some info to help with the making of them. I have to wait till Sept to finish the adult ones cause what I am using I can't get till then! I am shipping mine down to the ship a week before. I have so many carry-ons already to save on the luggage costs, well at this point....I may decide to just pay $30 a piece r/t to not have the hassle....we'll see how much money I am shy at that point...LOL

Hey besides Andrea, is anyone doing MNSSHP on thurs night?

I really would love to do MNSSHP, but DH is the voice of reason. To start off, we will be offsite for that part of the vacation so getting back will be difficult and/ or expensive. The bigger problem though is that my body clock will still be on UK time meaning that I will be ready for my bed at around 8 PM.

I got the proof for the main part of my FE gift today and I love it. The company was really willing to work with me. I knew exactly what I wanted, but was not too sure how to execute this. The first proof was sent back to the drawing board, but the second attempt was perfect.

A few days away from the board and this place goes :banana::banana: Welcome to all of the newbies. Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Ours was pretty good with the exception of DH ended up with the flu. I suppose it's spreading thru the boards :rotfl2: Glad to hear you all got the resv you wanted. I'm not sure what excursions we're going to do yet. We've been to all of the ports except CC several times. We were actually just at them last year so.... I'm thinking in GC we may do Stingray City but now I see they have that in CC. Should we just wait and see the stingrays in CC? We just did the dolphin excursion in Cozumel last year so I'm not doing it again. It was well worth it but not two years in a row. I think in Cozumel we'll stay on the ship. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with a 6 year old in Key West. Any ideas? Back to work while.:surfweb:

Hi and welcome to all:cheer2::cheer2:

Michelle
Don't know how you keep up with all the FE info you will need a holiday once it s all over we are not taking part but everyone must be putting in a lot of effort with the amount of people now on the list.

Corinna
Sorry but can you tell me when I fill out our ESTA form what address do we put on it when it ask where we will be staying we will have 2 hotel stays and the cruise. Need to get Ashleigh a new passport ordered hers runs out 6 march 2010 but we need 6 months on it when we arrive back so will have to pay about £50 for the sake of 10 days.

Hope everyone is well.

Time is creeping in we leave home 12 weeks on Friday so excited.

I have been Little Miss Organized today. I applied for our ESTAs today which fortunately came back as approved, did our online check in for the cruise and contacted Member Services to sort out DME for our trip back to the airport at the end of the vacation. Things are starting to come together. On the weekend I can make my ADRs and then I am set. Can't wait to find out who I am buying for for SM.

We are in a similar situation. We have three different hotels plus the cruise. The guidelines for the green forms always said that you should use the address where you are staying on your first night in the USA. That is what I did for our ESTA.

Corinna

Hi Corinna

Thanks for the info can't beleive we have both been thinking about organising these at the same time. Did you have to pay for it read on another forum they are charging £20 each.

I will have to decide where we are staying on the first night either the radisson or the residence inn that way we can fill the ESTA in.

Jude

Well...went through my luggage today...trying to see how many I am gonna need to pay for. I have almost all our clothes packed in one suitcase at 46 lbs...wow 4 more lbs to fill!! I will have to do laundry at least one load! I am shipping down a box of my FE's. This will make it easier!

We are flying in Thurs and staying at All-Star Sports and doing MNSSHP, then Friday late afternoon we are heading down to Port and staying at Residence Inn. I can't wait to go!

Is it Sept 30th yet??????????

Just wanted to say "hello." We are also sailing on Oct. 3! "We" includes my husband and our son (6).

I'm new to this forum and spending time reading past posts. Can't wait to meet everyone!

We are flying in on 9/30 around 9pm - staying at WL, going to MNSSHP on 10/1, going to F&W on 10/2 and then heading to the port that evening and staying at 4 Points by Sheraton. Maybe we should have a quick meet at MNSSHP?

Welcome Mindy:)

Michelle, I don't know how you packed everything in one case. Tell me your secret!

Hope everyone has had a good week so far. I've been baking oatmeal cookies for DH's b'day tomorrow. He's turning the big "40". He wanted the cookies instead of a cake.

Still trying to decide whether to go with Happy Limo or Fl Tours for our transportation from MCO to the port. Has anyone here used either company? :confused3If yes, please give me feedback. I am not sure which to use. I want to get this settled soon.

Norma, I sent you a pm with info. Let me know what you think.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. We are now at the 88 day mark .

Welcome Mindy! Have to ask---are u participating in the FE or SM exchange? If so I need ur stateroom number please!

Julie---that would be fun...maybe if we all are gonna hit the MNSSHP parade at the same time then we can meet and watch it together!

Gena-- Well I only packed denim capri, brown shorts and a tan skort of which can be paired with multiple shirts, plus I do a load of laundry half way through. Also for dinner I have alot of those blouses that made out of the wrinkle free material, where u can ball it up and it never wrinkles. so there is my secret. But that's just clothes..LOL I have another suitcase for toiletries, shows , my medicine cabinet, Umm FE's, then another for my surprise bags for my girls & Nieces along with formal wear. and carryons for laptop, camers, video, etc and another for fri and sat clothes....so ok when I said that it sounded good but I have alot of luggage...LMAO

BTW I have never used either car service but I booke Happy Limo for the return. They are picking us up at the port the following sat. Wish I could give you experience. would like to know myself what people think...=)

ESTAs are free. There are a number of fraudulent websites that charge you anything up to $200. Google just had a purge and removed those websites. Here is the official link to do your ESTA:

:welcome: on board Mindy and family.

We are flying in on September 30th as well via Atlanta. We are booked at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport for the first three nights. We intend to spend one day shopping at the Florida Mall and the second day DH will probably head to a wildlife refuge somewhere and I will go to Seaworld. On October 3rd, we plan on being on the first DCL bus from MCO.

Corinna[/QUOTE]

Save three seats on that bus for us. We arrive Oct 2 and are also staying at the Hyatt. We'll also be on that first bus. Do you think we can convince them to go a little earlier than they usually do? ;)

Okay, welcome to all our newbies! :)

I also have a 6 year old (although she'll officially be 7 when we are on the cruise). :)

We also arrive in on the 2nd. However, because we have others with us (in-laws and BFFs) I doubt we'll be on that first bus. :(

I know I could modivate the BFFs but not sure I'll be able to motivate the in-laws. Only time will tell. :)

Well, we're headed camping this weekend (Friday night through Sunday, coming home Sunday evening). Should be fun? :confused3 I'm not a camper. My idea of camping is at the (insert any hotel name here). :) LOL :rotfl2: I'm going because I know my husband will be happy that I go. And I know it will make his parents happy too. Do I wanna go, not really. The first time I went camping with my husband it rained the entire time and I lost a high heeled show in the mud (please note that the husband - then boyfriend - didn't give me time to change; after all he had a schedule to adhere to :) ). The second time we camped a tornado hit less than 1/2 a mile away. :scared1: This will be the third time. Hmmm, I can only imagine. I'm sure I'll have a nice time. :rolleyes1

So I will be away from the computer for the weekend. Don't do anything extreme without me now. LOL

Take care! Kristi

Hello all! I am trying to read the thread from the beginning, but it is going slower than anticipated, so I don't know if this has been discussed yet. I wonder what other excursions have been booked since we are passed the 90 day mark? We have scheduled:

Sun (KW) Palo brunch @10 (we are doing KW on our own with an electric car rented through and outside vendor)
Mon (Sea) Palo dinner @6:30
Tues (GC) Hell and Turtle Farm with Captain Marvin's
Wed (Cozumel) Mexican Tasting Workshop w/DCL @10:45
Fri (CC) Stingray Adventure @11

Also, I noticed most are staying over the night before, we live in Tampa, but will be driving down and staying at the Radisson on Friday night!

What are you all doing? Will we be meeting up with anyone? I hope everyone's planning is going great!
