Hello to everyone. We leave Wednesday to meet our Grandsons and daughter in Phoenix. We are going to surprise them with the gift of the cruise for the boys. I am so excited to see their reaction to the cruise. It definitly becoming more real as we get closer.

Wish we could be flies on the wall to see the GS's reaction to the cruise news! Still finding it hard to keep the secret from all our kids. I can't believe I haven't spilled the beans yet

ok guys, have a Couple of question's.. Can you or Can't you wear shorts/tanks to break/lunch/diner??? I can deal with this for me and dad and sis.. but my lil guy (6) is going to be hard to dress in slacks and button down for 3 meals a day.. We are shorts and tank people till the 1st frost (Just cant let go of the warm weather). Also does anyone know what time we can board Early/late time?? We are still trying to figure out our schedule if were going to go early and visit the inlaws or just visit them after the cruise.

Breakfast and lunch are casual, i.e. shorts, etc. Dinner, if you choose to eat in the "restaurants" is more dressy-Disney requests that no shorts, t-shirts, or jeans are worn. They do have the buffet, room service, and the place on deck 9 if you don't want to dress for dinner. HTH.

hi everyone! i can't believe we are getting close to being in the double digits!! summer is half over it seems...it always flies after the 4th of july!
rosemary, i can't wait to hear how your surprise goes! have fun!
jill, my little ones didn't really dress up for dinners...and we ate at the restaurants. I don't think they are really strict on it...i don't think i'd let the kids go in tank tops though! My oldest had khaki shorts, and polo style shirts that he wore for dinner...he looked nice, yet he was still comfy. My dd loves to dress up, so she isn't a problem! my youngest wasn't yet 2 yrs old, so he was dressed as casual as could be for all meals!

eta...just read back and see she went to visit her son...how did kennedy like american girl debbie? my dd has the bitty collection and the twins...does kennedy collect them, or was this her first time there? Hope you had lots of fun!

Im a tad water log'd... but still here.. Been in the high 90's here in Illinois and we have been VERY thankful that we have a pool. Wish I was as far ahead as you are.. we only have the cruise bookd So much goes on this time of year with the kids and family, its so hard to sit down and try to make decisions. Waittin on the DH to call his dad to see about using his car while we are there. So we can save some $$$.

Hi! Sorry I have been neglecting everyone, but I am trying to get my "to do" list done before the cruise and before I go to Mississippi. I have been trying to get paperwork done for the insurance co. as we had a house fire almost three years ago. They have finally finished all the repairs and now I have to finish up the paperwork, so I can get my final check
The kids go back to school after labor day, and I have been trying to get some new clothes for them. It helps that they think all the clothes are for school, but some are for the cruise too! Haven't spilled the beans yet . Been really hot here too thank god for air conditioning or I'd really be a witch!

hey everyone! i'm working on my to-do list also! i'm so behind on it though, and i get frustrated with it very easily! I usually end up tossing it back into the folder, and forgetting about it! My goal for the evening is finding a hotel for the nite before we fly out of rochester, and also check out car rentals. Hmm...i'll have to post back here if i have progress...it will hold me accountable!
So....i'm wondering how rosemary's surprise went....
and i'm wondering WHERE THE HECK IS DEBBIE????

wow... can you believe it. 101 well just found out my dsis is not taking her DS(2). My mom wants to keep him so my dsis can do things that he is not old enough for... like excursions and things! Well ttyl!

HI All. We're back from our trip, stopped in Vegas on the way and lost all my money I had for Grambling-only took about three minutes---. We told the boys about the cruise. I took the DVD and showed them. They had never heard of the cruise so it took a while for them to understand.Told them about the pirate show and how they could Trick or Treat on board so they looked more interested. Then they saw CC and definitely wanted to go I think that was what they were most exited about. They are definitely happy to be going.All in all a good trip. Have any more people been added to the trip?
