O.K. Here goes! me-49, DH-59, DS-15, DS-15, DD-12, DD-7, DS-5, DD-3! whew, just thinking about packing for everyone makes me shudder BUT..... I will be up for the challenge! I think my DH and myself are going to be the oldest of the group, but don't worry, we may be older in years, but the kids keep us young! This will be my third cruise, and the rest of the families second. I guess you could say we are almost virgin cruisers as we have not been to Castaway Cay yet. The first time, Hurricanre Jeanne spoiled the trip, and the second time I went, the sea was to rough to dock. We were soooo close, I felt like jumping in and swimming to the island
So I hope the third time is the charm!

Hi everyone,

We'll be on the cruise, first-timers as well. Can't wait!

Haven't posted lately, life gets away from me sometimes.........

We've finalized our plans before the cruise, gonna be at MNSSHP on October 23, then in the parks on the 24th, 25th, and 26th. With family over the weekend, and then on board VERY EARLY Sunday morning to start enjoying!!

Hope everyone else is getting excited as well. My cruise box in the attic is overflowing with stuff I've picked up already, stuff for pirate night, etc. We have a store here called Gabriel Brothers and they carry Disney World t-shirts that maybe have a minor flaw - but who cares!! At $5, they're a steal!! I've gotten DCL and Castaway Cay shirts for all of us, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean shirts for my son. Plus I just picked up a Philharmagic shirt for myself - absolutely nothing wrong with it, still had the Disney World tag of $25 on it!!

So, we're counting down the days and getting excited here - 146 days to go!

I think most of us are flying down the day/night before(some sooner) and are going to be staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott!!

There is alittle area on top deck with tables. That is where we meet last time.
Home depot has paint swatches that are mickey heads. They have alian green which is the Dis color. You can make pins out of those to wear, with your name.

I say let's meet by the pool at the Residence Inn for those of that are staying there then again up on deck 10 for the rest of the disers. Anyone have a time frame in mind?

We booked through a TA. There was a letter, telling us when final payment was due, and when we could book excursions, and then a very nice little booklet with all kinds of cruise info, questions etc.

Not a big deal, but sure gets me excited!!!

We are just deciding if we are going to do 1 or 2 pre-nights at WDW- my bf has to see how much paid time off he's going to have b/c we just got back from WDW a couple weeks ago.

Anyways, I think its going to be fun being on DCL over Halloween!

WhoHoooo We got the cruise packet yesterday also. It really made the cruise seem real. Just reading all the info was exciting Iread it from cover to cover. We booked thru DU.

Ok... i read a meet on DECK 10 once we board..and one at the pool at the hotel.. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME... not sure what time i will be at the hotel.. i am still waiting on Southwest!! My best guess would be that AFTERNOON. WHAT ABOUT MEETING THAT EVENING?

Anyways, i hope everyone is doing good. We've been so busy here with end of school activities, dd's dance competitions, little league...the list goes on!

Now for who is going with us....we have a group from NY coming on the cruise...some of the families i know, and some i don't! I'm not sure if any of them have actually posted on the dis yet...i've told them all, but some don't get much computer time.

I know what we are doing before the cruise, but no idea for afterwards...and we are staying for a week! I need to get planning!!!.....and reserving!!!
