Forgive my Disney ignorance . . .new at this

What kind of attendance should I expect 10/21 - 10/26?

When I try to book a room for that period, may resorts have zero availablity.

Is this a normal high attendance period? I realize the Halloween after hours stuff, but anything else going on?

I asked about the # of rooms already booked and their response was:

"The month of October is considered to be convention month. Normally, the resorts do sell out for this entire month, however, the theme parks are not very busy during this time."

The Food and Wine Festival is going on at Epcot so that may account for some of it.
