Ok, so we are disney regulars I guess but most of our holidays have been august, been October before and liked weather etc but never been February or May.
So we are trying to decide when to do our next trip. The kids are currently 8 months and 2.5 years, we came back 19th dec from last trip.

Oct 2014- well it's this year and October is lovely weather (well was last time we went. Downside is not as much time to save up. Max 17 months, would he get more out of later trip?

Feb 2015 - hubby really wants few days at beach aswell as disney, is February too cold for beaches? Low crowds and low points. Feb not too far away, I could live with that, more time to save. Big ? Is the weather.

May 2015, major downer is just how far away this is but max would be nearly 2 so get a lot out of it. Weather better than feb for beaches. Still ok crowds and on points.

Thoughts!

We have been doing February and had very good luck with the weather (knock on wood). The average is 72 but last year we broke a record at 89. That being said, our arrival day in 2012 did not get out of the 40's so the weather can swing either way. I am getting a bit worried this year because it seems to be a bit colder than we have experienced. Hopefully it will warm up soon. It does get cold when the sun goes down, which is pretty early, and most nights it was around 53.
One word of warning - Mardi Gras is early in 2015 - I think it is Feb 9 and that week will be mobbed with Mardi Gras crowds since schools in Louisiana and maybe Mississippi or Alabama have off. We ran into that last trip and crowds were way higher than usual. All the regular low crowd people were shocked at the crowd difference.
I can't comment on May or October, but have been considering October because of the Halloween party and decorations - it does seem to rain a bit more then which is why I am hesitant. Also, you are still in hurricane season and with my luck, something would happen the one time I decided to try October.

We went last May. It was beautiful. The crowds were low and the weather was perfect. It was cool in the morning but warmed up quickly. Just about every day was around 85 with low humidity. It only rained one day while we there and that was the day we arrived so it wasn't a bid deal. We enjoyed it so much that we plan on going again May 2015.

I can't comment on the other times as I have never been during those months.

ugh, i kinda think may would be the best in a lot of respects but thats sooooo far away!!!!!

Isn't the Garden Festival on in May? Never been in May but I've heard the weather is usually warm.

October you would get the Halloween decorations and the parties.

This is too funny. I'm debating almost the exact same dates for the same reasons.

This November would be ideal for me. Sooner, less expensive if free dining is released, good weather, lower crowds.

But financially I'm not sure we can swing it. Next year would give more of a cushion, and May has great weather, but higher crowds and not really any good discounts.

Last week of January splits the difference financially but my husband has been at that time of year and really doesn't want to go in winter. :(

Never been in May or February but have been in March and October. We went this past October and loved it. The weather was warm, really warm, warmer than we had thought it would be but we planned a couple resort/pool days and I was happy to be able to enjoy that. We did the Halloween party and had a blast! My favorite time of year is Fall and Halloween is my favorite holiday so it was great to experience it in October. Unfortunately our week was blocked for free dining but many other weeks were not. If you've never experienced Halloween at the World and you can swing it, I would say go for it. Our family enjoys the resort/pool days as much as the parks so we'd be hesitant to do February in fear of too cool weather for swimming. I'd love to be able to try May but it's my really busy time at work and I can't get the time off. Good Luck deciding.

Have been may and oct-may weather was perfect swam every day. Oct was nice but still lingering summer heat humidity but did have Halloween party

I'm on the may vs oct bandwagon too. It seems like the same randomness of weather we have here in CA. Humidity is way worse to me than heat. I've been poring over crowd calendars, but they're just making my head hurt. Seems like the week in May and the one in October we can go have about the same crowds. We definitely want to hit the water parks this time. All the comments about May crowds are scaring me. Anyone have any input on May 10-20 vs Oct 4-14? Thanks!
