decided to get a head start and book my 4 day onsite hotel stay now instead of waiting until the last minute again. last minute for me was march 6 of this year for that oct 7 stay at hrh.

i have always preferred hrh and have until this year received great deals on room ressies. last 8 trips have stayed at hrh......

i go to the site and plug in for oct 6 (4 days) and use the AAA discount.
come up with $233.10 per night for it. started to book it but was curious what the others would be so i checked them out.

same room, etc at pbh is cheaper !!!! $231.20, ok, it's only a few dollars less but still cheaper.

then i go to rph and see it for $183.20...........

YIKES !!!!

my fave hotel is the most costly.......maybe it is time for me to switch.

what would you do?
book at the cheapest rate and stay at royal pacific, try portafino or go with what is familiar to me (and the one that i love) ??

your thoughts and suggestions please.

I'd say to try one of the other resorts. We always stayed HRH and I would love to stay there again in the future. I have tried the other resorts and when I book again I will probably go with the lowest priced room. My last two stays at RPR I booked a standard room and was upgraded to a King Suite with my Loews Plat. I would imagine with the number of times you have stayed you would be eligible for the upgrade as well.

That is early, didn't think rates would be out yet.

It seems the popularity of the HRH has increased. There were reports of the hotel being overbooked, with people showing up and being told they had to stay in the Peabody. Others reported they had a great time, so I'd call it a toss up.
I would say their rates have gone up, and being the closest to the parks, this seems like the logical thing to happen. Yes, I know the PBH may be a more fancy place, but still, you can't beat that 5 minute walk to the park.

So most of the users around here went to the RPR with great results, and next year some of us will be trying the PBH for the first time.
