Had a fun lunch with my sister. It has been a long time since the two of us have been alone. Now I just have to get my fill of Joey and Tyler. Hopefully this weekend.

I've been lurking the last few days but not in the posting mood. Don't want you guys to think I have abandoned you. I'm just dealing with more not so good news for my Dad. His PSA has gone up even higher. They are going to do one more round of chemo then another bone scan and CT scan to see if we should abandon the treatment.

I'll check in again soon.

Flu shots today at work. It is always a mad house, I dread this day and of course I get to work it. I am terrified of needles!

Heidi: If Kaleigh can get 2 flu shots and not think they are a big deal, so can you! She faces more shots if the H1N1 comes out soon. Neither of us can take the live vaccine which is available now.

Susan: I am so sorry!

I spoke to Julie yesterday for a few minutes and her dad is back in the hospital having more surgery. He is not doing well.

Here it is just another cold and gloomy day and supposed to get worse. It is to rain later and turn into snow over night.

Of course, I have to work tomorrow. I have had 3 blissful Fridays off. They called me the last 2 days to see if I could work. Jerry can't take the time to work from home and I can't take Kaleigh into that environment in her compromised state yet. Plus, we have school.

Julie and her dad are in my prayers. What a stressful/emotional time for her. I wish there was something I could do.

I got the shot and for the first time in my life it didn't hurt! He was great. I was terrifed because he came up in his uniform and the military isn't known for their gentleness when it comes to shots but he was great. Barely felt a prick and then he injected it very slowly. My arm barely hurts and isn't very stiff. I told him he had to come back next year!

Good for you Heidi. Glad it didn't hurt. I couldn't even tell that my guy injected me. No stiffness or hurting afterwards. I am calling the club today.

Denine, it would be nice to be able to have worked those days for the extra money but I don't think it's a place for Kaleigh either.

Julie, if you read this, I am so sorry for everything you are going through. I know it is tough. Hang in there. Your dad remains in our prayers.

Did you see where Anna Marie is going to be working at WDW through the college program? How cool is that?

OMG, this is crazy. Someone made a homemade UFO. A 6 year old boy was able to untether it and is flying alone in it and it could possibly fly at about 10,000 ft. He could possibly fly for 8-10 more hours. SCARY! You can see him flying on 9news.com.

I think I have officially lost it because I am posting about cracker meal. Chris makes a cuban dish (Palomia) that the cube steak needs to be coated with cracker meal. He was going to surprise me for dinner but cannot find cracker meal anywhere. He has been to 6 stores and no one carries it anymore. He asked his mom in Florida and she is having a hard time finding it as well, does anyone else make anything with cracker meal and can find it? They usually only use McCormick Cracker meal but we cannot find any cracker meal in the stores. It is different from the seafood cracker meal, it is Easy Fry or something similar to that.

That whole story yesterday was crazy. I now think it was a publicity stunt. Someone asked the boy why he hid up in the attic and his response was "because of the show", then his dad said he thinks his son was referring to the show Wife Swap. No charges are being made and they will not be sent a bill.

That balloon story makes me angry. I really think that it was a publicity stunt. That dad certainly can't hide his anger when confronted about what the little boy said. I bet they do check it out more to get the truth. At that point I would hope that they would charge them for the cost of what all they emergency people encountered. It makes me mad to think how I felt yesterday and then to think it is probably a hoax.

I saw the balloon story in the paper this morning. I sure hope it wasn't a hoax!

First day back at work was OK.

Guess what? It is cold (42) and gray and rainy. Does the sun exist anymore?

Cracker meal: can you use matzo meal?

Hoping to go down to Amish tomorrow.

Tomorrow is Sweetest Day! I know it isn't celebrated everywhere.

If the weather actually breaks, I have stuff I need to do outside.

Denine - how do you celebrate Sweetest Day? I have never heard of that before. Also, I have no idea what Matzo is! I hope your weather picks up, it is suppose to be in the 70's this weekend so I am excited! We are going to go to a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkin for Halloween and then do the corn maze.
