I can't find my posting from yesterday morning. Oh! No! Don't tell me my "cookies" are acting up again!

Did the usual Sunday routine - Church & then grocery shopping. I am planning to make it a POOL day. Yesterday I went to the pool but it was soooooo HOT:smooth: that I only stayed two hours. I kept getting in & out of the pool to stay cool.

BONNIE: Are you having a good time or is that a silly question.

Hope you all have a great Sunday. Toodles:wave: :earsgirl: JEANNE. To all you great dieters. I need to diet desperately!

Jeanne, I still see your post. I hope you aren't having problems again. The posts I see after yours yesterday are me, Denine, Lori and me again today.:(

Looks ike we may have some thundershowers moving in for the evening. This has been a day of working in the yard, laundry, housework and now just being lazy. I do have a little bit of work that I brought home that I need to get done before tomorrow morning. I guess I better get started.

Later!

Poor, poor me. I am back. No more lounging by the pool or just sitting around. Cooking, cleaning and laundry are in my present and future. Unfortunately, I didn't get the house cleaned like I usually do and it is still waiting now. Shoot. Tomorrow will be spent shopping for groceries etc, laundry and cleaning.

Hope everyone is back to feeling great.

Jeanne, I am so sorry about your daughter moving. I can just imagine how I would feel.

Sounds like the 4th went pretty good for everyone. We had a BBQ and at the top of the hill we were able to watch the Air Force Academy, Colo Springs and Palmer Lake's fireworks displays. It is quite awesome seeing the horizon light up with fireworks from all directions.

We are now in the process of getting ready for a garage sale next week. Stacey wanted one and she didn't have enough so she asked if we could do one together. WOW, I had more junk than I thought. Still need to dig deeper. Stacey also goes for her bridal gown fitting on Saturday.

Good to be back to hear from all of my DIS family. Krista, you don't know how great it was to hear from YOU!!!!!! I missed you all.

Love, Sandy and Ted

Welcome back, Sandy. Chores vs. smores! Back to reality!

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Later!

Good Monday Morning Everyone!!

It was so nice to have a 3 day weekend. My sister Linda leaves my Mom's house today. Maybe Mom will start posting again. My brother is here for another week or so. My other sister Patty. You remember Mickey02's sister will be in today.

We went to the Zoo yesterday. Love going. It is not a very big Zoo but it is on the side of the mountain so there is LOTS of exercise. We have a membership and plan on going a lot.

Sorry you had to work on the 4th Jeanne. It was so hot in Colorado. Was it hot in NJ?? If so I bet it was nice being in the air conditioning.

Welcome back Sandy!! When is Stacey's wedding. Be sure to take your camera when she is having he bridal fitting.

Barb
:smooth:

Good morning! A cloudy day with a chance of rain. We missed a nasty storm yesterday. It stayed just to our north. Very dark clouds.

Well, we have to wait yet another day to see if Jerry has jury duty. Got a letter on Saturday saying to report tomorrow, which means call tonight. I hope he has to go in tomorrow and then gets dismissed so we don't have to worry about it anymore.

Welcome back to reality Sandy.

Just trying to recover from the weekend.

Had a wonderful 4th with Glenn. Didn't read anything yet. Hope everyone had a good 4th...will check in later...sometime.

Welcome back, Bonnie.

Back to another work week and Barb's posts to make my work week happier! Hope you have light calls and nice callers this week!

Hope Jerry finally gets the jury duty behind him. Let us know the verdict (ha-ha).

Sandy must be swamped with chores since she didn't post today. We miss you!

Where did Jeanne and Lori go? And, where is Julie?? And Laurie? And Krista? And Patty? And.....

I'm heading to the gym but wanted to check in. Later!

Read it all...not much to read but read it all.

Ran out of coffee...UGH!!! Send some my way Sue! Oh! I saw your namesake in the Chicago! Sue the Tyranisaurus Rex!

OK...time for everyone to come out and check in!! OR that pesky mountie will be headed your way!

Off to work...have a good day all.

Here's a cup of Joe for you

Send out the mountie - too many missing in action!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!

Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday!!

We out to the driving range last night with my brother,
nephew, Mom and Tiffany. It was loads of fun. I have wanted
to learn to play golf for years. Tiffany is pretty good I think she has potential. My Brother and Nephew Tim are both really really good Rick (my brother) spent the entire time teaching Tiffany and I how to hit the ball. I am ready to go again!!

Meowlissa's(That is what I call Missy because she doesn't like cats :) birthday is on Sunday. We are having a barbecue party for her on Saturday. She will be the big 21!! Mike's sister called last night to see what she could get for her. Mike is still in Iraq but he is having his sister get her a something. Mom and I are making a scrap book of Missy growing up to send to him in Iraq. Hope it cheers him up. He really wants to come home.

More muscles that I didn't know I had are sore today from hitting balls last night. Makes me even more determined to get in shape!! I worked out at the Y after work some of the sore muscles maybe due to that.

Barb :smooth:

Jerry had to report to jury duty this morning. I am waiting for him to call to give me an idea of what time he will be home.

We have had several nasty storms in the last 24 hours. This mornings was a real doozy. Luckily we didn't have any damage and Kaleigh slept through all of them. We are expecting more storms this afternoon.

Welcome back Bonnie!

Where is everyone?

Hi guys, thanks for the wonderful welcome home. Sorry that I didn't post yesterday but Sue put it perfect. Chores vs. smores. Still have lots to do but get the kids back today. Hopefully, can finish cleaning one bathroom anyway.

I personally got a tear jerker letter from Bryan yesterday. WOW, it was hard reading. Will respond when I can emotionally.

Poor, poor Barb. Wouldn't want your job for ANYTHING! This new insurance deal has to be driving you crazy.

Another trip to Chicago. Hmmmmmm.

I hate jury duty. Poor Jerry. You can't plan on anything until the night before and then you still don't know if you will be chosen. A lot of wasted time. A couple of times ago for me an elderly man received a letter from the jury commissioner and attended with a friend. The friend told the jury commissioner that he had a brain operation and was not "ok" and also had a note from the doctor. She wouldn't accept it and said that it was up to the judge and atty's to decide. Well, my gosh, the poor man got lost just walking around in the jury room and couldn't find his friend. SAD!!!! I know everyone uses every excuse but it was obvious.

Lori, sounded like you had a fun time playing motorcycle mama. How was your weather? Ours was cold in the beginning, perfect in the middle and HOT at the end.

Susan, has life slowed down a bit for you?

Laurie, hope your trip was fun. Let us know.

Denine, how is the solids coming along? Slowly she will get used to the textures.

Krista????????? We miss you. How about posting again???? We don't bite, I promise.

I haven't lost any weight. Better try on the dress that I bought for the wedding. Cross your fingers. Stacey's fitting might be this Saturday but I better get on it too.

Have a truly magical day. Love to all. Sandy

Whew! Finally a day off. I ended up called in for a total of 36 hours over the 3 day weekend, then worked Monday for someone else. I'm POOPED. I need to go spend that money on a relaxing vacation now.
What a bummer about those joined twins dying in surgery. It was a pretty big risk, but I can understand their desire. I just couldn't imagine living with my own sister that closely.
I aged a bit yesterday:eek: . My sister took Katie on a belated birthday shopping spree. Katie came home in platform sandals, bellbottom hiphugger jeans, a whispy jeweled shirt and a wide butterfly belt. Man, I would have loved that outfit when I was 10. Katie looked like a 60's flowerchild teenager!

Batten down those hatches Denine. Glad everyone is doing so well. Take care~ Lori

Katie must be in 7th heaven. Where are those sunglasses with colored lenses?? Must this adopted Aunt buy them for her????

Hi, everyone.

Sandy - To answer your question, of course things have not gotten slower for me!

Today I met my dad at the GI dr. for his results of the capsule endoscopy (from a month ago) and guess what...they still had not gone to read the results. I had to show them a laittle of my attitude. This dr's office is a disgrace. They did promise to go by and read the results this week and call back but I think after that my dad has had it with this group. The doctor was making so many excuses rather than just admitting their mistake!! We're not stupid!!

Sorry about that, I needed a moment to rant and rave!!! I fee better now.

After work, I drove to my home town (about 45 minutes away) to go to the funeral home visitation for my dad's neighbor. We only had one neighbor when I lived there and they were always so nice. She was 85 and had been fighting heart problems for many years. He died about 15 years ago.

Denine - give us an update on Jerry's jury duty experience. Hope he is home and only had to be there today.

Gotta run,
Later!

Yes, I am still around...just not much time for posting. The sergeants at work went to four 10 hour days, and as luck would have it, I start off with six days in a row.

I was lucky(?) enough to be working yesterday morning when the storm hit at about 5:30am. It was total chaos! Trees and wires down everywhere...one on top of a house. Throw in a drunk wrapping his van around a tree, and a druggie that we had to fight with and it made for a great first night back to work.

Jury duty...isn't the justice system grand? Just feel fortunate that you only get to experience it once in awhile! I was greeted with two subpoenas when I came back to work. Work 10 hours until 8am and then they expect you in court all day too. Everything revolves around them...I mean you don't have a personal live, do you?

On a happier note, Mission Space was great! Very intense, especially at the beginning. The g forces are enough on lift off that you're thinking you can't take anymore, then it subsides. Lots of jerking around during the flight, then the landing. The landing is the next most intense part, again with the g forces, but not as intense as the takeoff. If you have a problem with the g forces on Rock and Rollercoaster, then you probably want to steer clear of this ride. Overall, I think they did a good job, but the ride seemed a little short.

Well, back to the grind...a pretty quiet night so far (fingers crossed). Hope everyone is doing well...

Wasn't going to post today...not in the mood but since Garry posted just had to do it!
Sounds like not much fun on the job Garry...hope it quiets down and you get a better schedule next time. As far as Mission Space is concerned...I think I will skip that one!!!! Doesn't sound like my cup of tea! I will leave that one to Jeanne.

Lori-don't go out and get another motorcycle with all that money!!

Sandy-Glad you're back!!

Sandy- I have coffee this morning so I am good shape.

In to work early this AM since I have to have a boob ultrasound this afternoon. How ignorant of the MD's to only have day hours...don't they realize people have to work for a living??

Have a good day all!
