I just got this in from another dis board. I was looking to see if I could find out where she was going which is Freeport in the Bhammas for dry dock.
Also I copied this

Just off the Magic this morning. She is heading to Freeport this afternoon for what was described as a mostly maritime drydock. Things guests will notice after dry dock will be the new marble floor in the atrium, new drink station on deck 9 (similar to the Wonder), some stateroom bathrooms will get updated and other usual cleaning and scrubbing.

Add to that a new or repaired prop, and runing gear from her extended stay at CC.

I know several of you will find this funny - we downgraded our reservation to a Category 11 on Friday (we were never happy with Deck 2) and guess which room we have ended up with - 7631 - the handicap accessible room! I am sure we will manage fine but I do hope the bed separates into twin beds or I will be sharing with my mum all week!!
We leave for Orlando Sat am but have so much to do before then - including probably repairing my classroom roof from the floods here.
Wendy

Until we got upgraded to a OV room ...7631 is suppose to be about 70% larger then regular rooms, with larger bathrooms too. No tub but large shower area.

That's whose it was! You must come and visit it at some point!

We just got our 'Final Reminders' email from DCL!!! :yay:

I didn't get any e-mail :confused3´
Could one of you please copy and paste it here in the thread so that I know what it says?

Thank you and have a great day!

Most hotels have something called 'guaranteed for late arrival'. It means as long as you have a credit card on your reservation, they will hold the room all night but will charge your credit card if you don't show up.

You can also take our cell phone numbers and you can give us a call if you think you're going to be really late. Since we will be at the hotel already, we can let them know.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

The other thing you can do too, is to call the hotel and tell them that your plane lands at 6 pm, and that youll be there late. They can note your reservation. Theres someone at the check in desks 24/7. Even the mom and pop hotel we use inthe Keys has someone there after hours.

American hotels are operated differently than European hotels. Most are open 24-hours per day. You will find the office open when you arrive, so have no worries. As pointed out by Kathy, make sure your room is guaranteed with a credit card and your room will await you:)

Thanks for your advice! I already feel quite reassured, however I guess I will still give them a call, just to be completey on the safe side :)

Wendy, it would be a honor for my DH and I to come meet you and your Mother. I noticed you are from Scotland. A good friend of my MIL is from Scotland and we have adopted her and she is our Aunt Cathy!

When I was trying to find information about cabin 7631...in another thread someone wanted twin beds also and was not happy when she saw the bed were not twin. So she told the room steward and that night the bed was turned into 2 twin. So I am sure you won't have a problem getting twin beds vs one big bed.

If not it will be family togetherness.:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

we finally got our refund from DCL.

Looking forward to getting out of this gloom in 9 days!

We got our e-mail too.

Anyone else see the change in deposit for DCL? Im trying to work it out with the new cabin classes, but so far it doesnt look like its too much more for a deposit now. I think where it will make a difference, is whether you in an A,B,C,D,E cabin, with the As, paying slightly more.

DCL now using 20% of total cruise price for deposit

In 2 weeks we will be in Grand Cayman
