I chatted with Tommy I mean texted yesterday morning before he left for work. We chatted about 30 min. Souds like he had a great weekend.

He really did. He and I plan to meet Robin in Cincinnati on Sat. for dinner. She will be there to see Cassie.

Being this is my first Disney cruise.....the very day that I was able to book Palo for Brunch online....nothing was available!

Do I even have a chance of booking this once I check in at the dock? We really, really want to do this.

If DCL reservations can't help you, there is always the option to get to the port very early and be at the front of the line to get boarding #1. Once on the ship head straight to Rockin Bar D.

Our first cruise we boarded with the first group and we were able to get a brunch and a dinner reservation once on board. I was so determined that we were at the port at 9:00 AM. They always hold back reservations for booking on board. GOOD LUCK and a little Pixie Dust for you...

If your staying at the Raddison like a group of us the shuttle will take us to port around 9:30 arrive 9:45. then after you get in the terminal and check in and a boarding # which you hope is low you should be onboard by 11:00.

9:30 is fine to get a low boarding group (I believe Disney says the terminal opens at 10, but it's usually sooner), but they don't start letting people on the ship until 11:30-12. There's plenty to do in the terminal to pass the time - there are some characters that show up as well.

Boarding group #1 is only for Concierge (Cat 1, 2 & 3) and Platinum CC members. But you don't have to worry about competing with those people for Palo ressies, since the concierge handles them. If you get there early you should be fine.

The first to board is the 'Disney Family of the Day' (selected randomly) along with Mickey & Minnie and the CD. Then boarding group 1, etc. Maybe you'll get lucky and be the Family of the Day!

Another tip - on one cruise, we got a boarding group #2 card and we we able to bring along 2 of our friends that had a higher number. We just told them we were traveling together. Of course, this only works in small numbers. So make sure you meet up with all of us in the terminal. If someone has a low #, they may be take a least 1 person from your group with them to make ressies.

We own at BCV, AKV, HHI and staying night before and 3 nights after cruise at BCV. Food & Wine at EPCOT!
