It's been probably a year since I've been on here, but just wanted to let you know you can take us off the roll call. We had to cancel our trip due to it not falling over DS's fall break, and he won't get credit for any work missed for the week We have, however, switched to a cruise NEXT year over fall break, so that makes up for it! Hope you all have a good trip....

Hi guys! So who all is booking this Friday? I know Denine is, but I wasn't sure how many other platinum members were on the cruise with us. We are in the "gold" group able to make ressies in July.

Does anyone have a "current" fish extender list? I remember last time we gave our emails to the "head FE" and they emailed the rest of us the list and when we were to "deliver" our goodies.

I get these random thoughts, so when I have the time I need to post them. Sorry if they have already been answered. We have had a crazy few months... our oldest came home from her Disney World internship, which she LOVED!!!, got a new car, knocked out a kitchen window and put in a patio door, kids finished school with straight A's, and we changed our season football tickets (moved closer to the field)... so we are sooooooooo looking forward to this cruise!

So sorry to see a few families leave us, but I do understand. Glad to see new families joining us though!

Speaking of Germany, where has Annika been lately?

I know I know, I have been really quiet these last weeks ...

I have been incredibly busy at work since I am currently responsible for our branching out into another European country, and there is simply so much to be done connected with that. I am in horrible need of a holiday - but boy, will I get one in four months' time!

(Anyhow, I am flattered that somebody has actually missed me! )

As soon as I had finished my last post it occurred to me that I've forgotten half of what I'd been meaning to say ... But at least that means that I'll get my post count up a little

Anyway, with many of you guys talking about booking onboard activities and such I'm starting to get really impatient: This is our first cruise, and we have to wait until August to book!!!
I wonder if any of my choices will be left for me at all ...

But well, nothing to be done about that.
And I guess there is always still embarkation day to try and book some things. It's just that I'm afraid we will be so overwhelmed with being on the ship for the first time, wanting to do a quick sightseeing tour, having a bite to eat, maybe a swim, then finding our cabin, the drill, the sailaway party - whew! How are we supposed to fit all that in AND go to some booking desk without having a totally stressful day?

Relax, Annika. Breathe deeply. All will be well.

As far as booking things on the ship, like brunch or dinner at Palo or spa treatments - they always leave a certain percentage of reservations open for people to book when they arrive on the ship.

For shore tours, it really depends on what you want to do. Many of the activities, like the 7 Mile Beach Break and the Conch Train in Key West, don't usually fill up. In fact, the Conch Train runs all day - I believe you just queue up and get on the next available tour. There are other shore activities like this.

Even if an activity you want to do fills up, there are usually some last minute cancellations, so it pays to get on the waiting list.

Why don't you post the shore tours you are thinking about booking - there are lots of people on this board that have done the Western before and they can give you an idea of which tours book up first.

We felt the same way on our first cruise. So we got to the port really early and were 2nd in line so we got #1 for boarding. There were no lines so if you can get there early you will have plenty of time to book, eat, and tour the ship.

Yes Annika, it will all be ok. There is plenty of time when you get on board to book Palo etc. You should also be ok on excursions. I think just the dolphin swim ones fill up the fastest.
