THEN THE POOL AND THE FIRST DRINK OF THE DAY Right Mrs L ??

You had better believe it. I am ready now though, could be a long wait!! i am tired of the cold & rain, this is supposed to be sunny florida!!

Well we are in for 10 AM, so we should be able to 'adopt' 2 other people if we get an early boarding card (we're hoping for 2 :yay:).

I need to get to the spa ASAP - you guys can save me a seat at the buffet.

Can you not book the spa on line?

Good Morning

If it comes together in Oct like it did this past Oct Joanne we will be fine.
I think Raddison did a great job with the shuttle haveing that large trailer on the back of the bus made it great.
When we got to Port the driver seem to know where everybodys luggage was.
If we get onobard like we did in Oct I will be a HAPPY CRUISER.
Then we can go find the Shrimp Joanne:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:.

take me to the shrimp. Holland America did not have much shrimp all week, but they had a great sail away barbeque on the pool deck, But it was so cold not many were out there.

Hi everyone,

I would like to use this space to shamelessly advertise my first ever dining report: It is finally finished (only about six months later than intended :rolleyes1), and if any of you are interested in food pics, go and check it out!

Okay, enough with the unwanted advertising ;)

Have a great day everybody!

:yay: I have enjoyed what I read so far. . . . I will go finish reading it now. It has helped me decide where we might like to try. Thank you for your time, pictures and suggestion. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, I can't book the treatment I want online. I did the spa villa last time and I want to book a longer appt. this time. They will only let you book the 'alone time' online - the other ones have to be booked in person.

It shouldn't take very long - just hold me a seat at Topsiders!!! :thumbsup2

Don't worry, we will be peeling a lot of shrimp!!!

Hi all...need your advice for the Oct. 16 sailing please. DH and myself are flying in 1 day early and staying at the BCV prior to cruise. We can't decide, any advice or suggestions is appreciated:

Option 1: Rent a car at MCO, drive to BCV then on Sat. drive car to PCarn. to drop off car at car rental place and they will drop us of at the port. We can get to PC around 10-11 a.m. time frame, relax, get on the Magic and eat lunch. Cost is $51 car rental and does not include the cost of tolls and gas to top the car off at drop off

Option 2: Just use DME and don't worry about. Cost is $70 for the two of us total. Get to boat whenever Disney takes us.

Any more Pros/Cons that can convince me which options is better? We plan on having dinner at Cape May or around BW area that night so car is really not needed, Friday night once we are at the resort.

Thank you for any advice!

My first question would be: have you ever cruised with Disney before? If not, taking the Disney transportation is really fun. Pros: You get to meet some of your fellow cruisers while waiting for the bus. They show you fun videos that get you all pumped up and there is nothing like that 1st glance of the Magic as you come over the bridge (still brings tears to my eyes in a good way:cloud9:). You say goodbye to your luggage at the resort and it magically shows up in your cabin. pixiedust:. You can have a leisurely breakfast before heading out. Cons: You don't get to the ship until the afternoon. If you want to make any reservations on the ship (e.g. if you were unable to book Palo for the day/time you wanted) you might be too late. Also, the early arrivals will be well ensconced at the buffet and the pools (not that you won't find a place).

As for renting a car and driving to the port: Pros: You can get to the port early, when it's much calmer (well, except for some of us that will be jumping up and down and screaming until they let us on the ship :yay:) and the checkin lines are much shorter. You get a prime seat at the buffet or the pool. And for those of us that love the Magic, the more time on the ship, the better! Cons: You have to take a shuttle from the rental car place to the ship. You have to manage your own luggage until it gets checked in. You might have to pay for parking at the resort :confused3 but someone else should be able to answer this.

Soooo, my opinion is, if you haven't cruised with Mickey before and you don't need to make any reservations on the ship, I recommend taking the Disney transportation. You get onboard a few hours later but it's a lot less hassle for your first cruise. :thumbsup2

Can't wait for the Shrimp and the drink of the day by the pool.

Hi,

We are staying at AKV the night before the cruise. If we are able to get out Palo reservation when the window opens we plan to take the DME since there is not rush to get to the port.

If we don't get Palo we will rent a car, drop it off at the rental agency and take the shuttle. We did this the first time and it worked well for us.

For our first cruise we wanted to be very early, we were 2nd to check in. We wanted to have time to walk around the terminal (not very big) and take pictures before the crowds started. it was fun to watch everyone check in and you could feel the excitement as everyone was waiting to board.

We would prefer to sleep in the morning of this cruise and relax, but we want Palo brunch. So this is the driver for our decision.

I think you just need to figure out whether you want to be there early and be people watchers and soak in everything or enjoy the bus ride and the quick check in. There are usually no crowds at the terminal by the time the bus gets there. Definitely easier to take the bus though.

I'm sure Frank will be joining you! I'm the only one in the family who doesn't eat shrimp - they must have mixed the babies up in the hospital :rolleyes1

Hi,

I am going on the disney magic on 10-16-2010. It will be me, my husband and my then 3 year old daughter. We have never been on a cruise before and do not know what to expect. Our room number is 7552. Is that a good room? We will be celebrating my husbands birthday, my daughters birthday and our anniversery. I am excited. :cheer2:

Do you have any advice for us? :confused3

Thank you

Sie tun wahrscheinlich besser mit sprechen und hören Englisch, als Sie denken. Fragen Sie einfach die Person, langsam zu sprechen.

Annichan - I saw this on the Radisson page ffor cruise shuttle packages. WOrth a try. info@radissonport.com I, too, think you'd do better on the phone than you think. :goodvibes

Aww, thank you two so much for the kind comments in several languages :flower3:
I must admit that I did not have to face my fear this time because Kathy (njprincess) was so sweet to call and book the shuttle for me (THANK YOU AGAIN! :cheer2:).
But it is still nice to know that you folks believe in me more than I do ;).
