But will resume the following week. :woohoo:

Thanks all in advance. Here it goes.

1) We are in room 2606 - Deck 2 - Cat 9. Any comments on this area? When touring the ship on line it looks like there is really nothing above us. I also remember seeing a site somewhere, sometime ago, that had cabin reviews. I was looking for this earlier, but I couldn't find it.

2) Can somebody give me a run down on the pre-purchase of the pictures package? I read in a trip report it was better to purchase the package, but they didn't state why.

3) I saw in Key West you could rent an electric car. However, on the DCL site it states kids have to be atleast 8. My DD will only be five when we go. Has anybody done this one on their own with little ones around 5 years old?

4) Lastly - I've read in trip reports to sign your kids up for the kids clubs in the terminal once arrived. I also saw on the DCL site you can sign up at 75 days out from your cruise date on line. What's the differnece? Do I need to do both?

Again, thanks in advance for all the help :thumbsup2

Good to hear you are happily settling in, Dizzi! :)

I will also look into joining the chat this weekend. Since I downloaded new anti-virus software, my computer has been so slow! Of course, I've been surfing alot less and my house is cleaner now...so maybe it is actually a good thing! :lmao:

Hey...we are officially LESS than a year and a half away from sailing!

Thanks all in advance. Here it goes.

It's on this site. Click on planning at the top of the page. Then click on Staterooms under DCL Trip Planning Guides

2) Can somebody give me a run down on the pre-purchase of the pictures package? I read in a trip report it was better to purchase the package, but they didn't state why. It's simply cheaper to get a package if you plan on buying more than about 4 photos. You can purchase the package you want and fill it with the photos you want as you go. The photos will be pre-printed in shutters and you have to find the ones that belong to you and if you want it as part of your package you can bring it to the cm and they will mark it off of your allowance for the package you order. If you run out of allowance you can upgrade to a larger package for the difference in $. If you later find a photo you liked more than one of your previous you can trade. Also you can buy the package any time shutters is open, you can wait until you've decided on which photos you want or you can do it before you even look at a photo.

3) I saw in Key West you could rent an electric car. However, on the DCL site it states kids have to be atleast 8. My DD will only be five when we go. Has anybody done this one on their own with little ones around 5 years old? This may be something you'll want to do "on your own". DCL is strict with their age guidelines, but I'm pretty sure the actual vendors don't care.

4) Lastly - I've read in trip reports to sign your kids up for the kids clubs in the terminal once arrived. I also saw on the DCL site you can sign up at 75 days out from your cruise date on line. What's the differnece? Do I need to do both?Yes, you sign them up online and check them in at the port.

Again, thanks in advance for all the help :thumbsup2
Hope this helps!:thumbsup2
