Looks like I have some catching up to do.:lmao: I'm excited because DH gave me the go ahead to add another day to our free dining trip in September. :cool1: Now we are staying 9 nights at POP. Since we've never stayed in a value, I hope we made the right choice. The only worry I have is space, but luckily, the kids are still small.:confused3 The kids couldn't be more excited about the resort. They love looking at the pictures and seeing the giant icons.

Marna

When we stayed at Value resorts wwe loved it.

I guess our kids were 6.5 and 11.5.

The rooms are a tiny bit small but we were not in them alot.

One day we had planned to do apool day and it rained and we laid on the bed and played cards.

But we loved the pool time even though the pool wasnt overly themed and we were very close to the food court.

I hope those of you who clebraqte Easter had a lovely day yesterday! :goodvibes

Spring Break is over and so it is back to the routine around here...that is a good thing.:goodvibes

Ive spent quite a bit of time on the cruise boards the last couple of days...it is getting me really excited for our cruise that is...so long away! ;)

I ran into my sister at Busch Gardens on Sat and she told me our aunt had been looking into changing the date for the Oasis cruise again...aaargh.
She sent me an email saying not to worry that they are still looking at January but she doesn't want to make any final plans yet b/c she is still hoping the price is going to go down....!?!?!?

Ron & I have told her on more than one occasion that on most high demand cruises the prices only go up as the sail date gets closer. I don't think it can be reasonable to expect last minute deals on such a popular new ship. Ay.

She needs to get with the dis mentality, and quick! :rotfl:

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I just looked on the DVC site and we got our waitlist that we had put in for!!!

SOOOOO excited...

My DD leaves the day after school is out for grannys which is Friday June 5th then DH and i get a mini vacation.............on the motorcycle!!!!

We go to VERO BEACH that SUNDAY INN ROOM OCEAN VIEW!!!!!!!

Then we leave there the next day to go to WDW
and stay aon Monday night at BEACHCLUB STUDIO

Then TUESDAY night we go to AKV SAVANNAH VIEW

We just wanted to do a little traveling on the bike and see some different resorts

DOnt evenm know if we will go to theparks at all and if we do it willmost likely only be EPCOT!

COOL COOL COOL

then the next weekend we fly to see my MOM and dad and fly back with my DD!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

I love it when a plan comes to gether!!!!!!!!

BCV is awesome, we haven't stayed there yet...but we need to LOL;)

I would love to check out VBR someday too, for something a little different!

That sounds like a lot of fun! :goodvibes

nenner

i cant imagine trying to plan a cruise with other family members

I cant even get my mom to choose dates and stuff for a short trip to WDW in October.

She is driving me crazy.

GOOD LUCK WITH ALL THAT!

All,

This cruise will not only be our first Disney, but first overall cruise. A few questions:

1) When can excursions be booked? Do most people book via DCL, or go outside. Our youngest will be five when we cruise so I'm assuming I'm limited on some choices.

2) When can Palo be booked? Do you recommend brunch, dinner, or both?

I've starting to read as many trip reports of Majic cruises that I can. We are excited about this trip.

Lynn-congrats on getting the resorts you wanted for your trip. That sounds like a ton of fun.:thumbsup2 Also, thanks for the POP tips. We probably won't be spending a lot of time in the room, so I think it will work out great.

schwenksvillemouse-this will be our first cruise also, so we can be newbies together. Our youngest will also be five at the time and our DD will be 7 so all of our excursions will have to be for a younger crowd. We really want to do a jeep tour on Conzumel but DCL age is 10 and up.:confused3 I found another place we can book independently(cozumel-tours.com) that sounds great and will allow the younger kids. If we do anything else, though, it will be through DCL. Hope someone else can help with your other questions.

Wow! You're first cruise! :cool1: Watch out, once you go on one you'll be hooked. :lmao: Excursions and Palo both can be booked at 75 days before the cruise for you 1st timers. 90 for previous cruisers aka castaway club members (even less for concierge and people who buy an expensive package).

Palo, I would do both.:thumbsup2 They are two completely different experiences.

Excursions... We've done them through Disney and on our own. It depends on what you want to do. As far as sting ray city in Cayman I would definitely do it on your own. We had a great experience with Capt Marvins, but Moby Dick is supposed to be good too. The similar disney excursion is more than twice the cost! But the argument is always that if you are on a disney excursion and something goes wrong timewise the ship will always wait for you. If you're late because you did your own thing you could miss the boat.... :scared1: So be careful to allow plenty of extra time. BTW we plan on doing everything on own own this time...

Thanks much. I guess I have a long wait to book these items. I'll head out and buy a guide book and read through what's available. Part of me wants to see some sights, but I also don't want to be running around like crazy. I'm leaning now to doing some simplier things, and saving the bigger items for the next cruise - gives me a reason to come back. :woohoo:

Hey Everyone.

Just wanted to "pop" in and say hi. We are in WDW at the BCV.....Any questions about the resort just ask away...We are having a blast.....

Hope all is well with everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading in a trip report that you can buy either daily or weekly passes to the rain forest room. What is all available in the spa and rain forest room? I tried searching, but couldn't find any details.

GOOD LUCK WITH ALL THAT!

LOL...thanks, we need it! If Ron doesn't have a heart attack by the time the 90 day payment is due I will be suprised! ;)

Same thing good luck with your mom! I hope she decides on soemthing before your 90 day ADR window!!!

BTW we plan on doing everything on own own this time...

Are we??? I thought we weren't going to do Cozumel on our own anymore...?
I was thinking we might do the Xcaret this time around....remember since that tour is so long we would have to go through DCL or risk not making the boat....What were you thinking about doing there?

I'll head out and buy a guide book and read through what's available.
IMO the best guide book for DCL is by far the Passporter. I have the deluxe which comes in the leather binder..which I love because you can add and remove pages (I always take out the info not pertaining to our cruise....other itineraries, etc. which gives me more room for organizing with the pockets! LOL I actually bought a clearance 1$ outdated refill one time just to get the pockets! Love it!) I am pretty sure Daytimer stuff fits in there too (or maybe I just made it fit!)

Also if you like WDW and need a guide book for there, get the Unofficial Guide! It is the most comprehensive WDW resource out there and also has a whole great chapter on DCL. It also comes with a one year subscription to touringplans.com which is GREAT for WDW trip planning, it reallyt helped us this last trip and we are WDW veteran know it all's! :rotfl:

I actually haven't been there yet so I'm sure someone who has will give you a more detailed description, but is is like a sauna room with heated tile loungers surrounding a fountain. Wonderful place to relax I hear. They also have scented showers that everyone raves about! :thumbsup2

OMG I am so jealous! Have a great time! Are the crowds still NUTS?
We were originally going to go next week before we switched our trip to Feb.
I am having withdrawal....;)

Your going to love VB...Have you ever been there before???

Well, almost everything... Funny story about when we did Cozumel on our own...:rolleyes1

Your going to love VB...Have you ever been there before???

No we have not been to any of these...........

BCV????

Beach club............

When you get back...............PLEASE DO TELLL me all about it!!!!!!!!!!!!

S-Mouse

Dont forget there is also HIGH TEA!!!!!

ANd we loved it!!!

Brunch.....Was not our favorite but i think we will do it Alone this time around.
We did it our first cruise with a group of dissers and it was odd.....
But wold like to try it alone. It is like a buffet with ALL KINDS OF STUFF!!! GREAT STUFF.....But i do not like buffet style when i want to be pampered and waited on. We had a reservation for this on our second cruise and slept through it......I was a little disappointed when they called and said you can come now but not disapointed enough to jump up and get ready to go.

HIGH TEA,,,,,MY FAVORITE,,VERY CASUAL, Not overwhelming, and i could still move and breath as i wasnt OVERSTUFFED....But yet calming and peaceful and at a great time of day. I thought the little finger foods served were spot in in taste and i cant wait to do it again

DINNER......Awesome of course.....BUT it is alot of food and sort of like another semi formalnight.

ENJOY THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
