well i am off to make dinner......

say HEY TO YOUR DW and tell her i look forward to chatting with her too.

My siggy came from me admitting I love fried Spam and eggs for breakfast. We got 3 packs of Spam in our FE's so I fiigure I scored LOL
My DH loves Spam too. Especially Spam fritters:)
2. I plan to spend more time out there enjoying it instead of running the kids here and there and everywhere they will be old enoough to do most things for them selves and i plan on sitting my but on the verandah.
That is what we plan on doing too, just sitting on the verandah, taking it all in. Maybe having some room service breakfast out there:cloud9:

All this talk about hot breakfast is making me hungry...especially when it is 36 degrees outside at my house :scared1:
Of course, the folks in London, ON probably think that is warm right now. I have family who live in North Bay and they are wishing that they were here in balmy Pennsylvania right now ;)

I also intend to spend more time relaxing on this cruise. I never had time to do room service on the 3 day cruises I have been on...might have to make that a priority this time!

Oh my glory...that was my 500th post and I made it from Mouseketeer to DIS Veteran !!!!!

:woohoo: No secret verandah for us - but we have got a SECRET PORTHOLE!!

Yipee, cant wait - Had a 3 day WONDER trip in March 08, and we all LOVED it sooooo much !!

:thumbsup2 Hi to Michelle (dibb - uk) only us two signed up so far ..........

HAPPY DANCE FOR 500 POSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:woohoo: Just got our room assignments! We are in 6051. :woohoo:

Our group has 6 families traveling together with more probably joining us as time goes on. :dance3:

Also, :welcome: to all the new people who have joined us in the last couple days.
We have 6064, just one door over what we were assigned but from the room reports the noise shouldn't be too bad. We did like 7062 on this cruise.

Hello all! I told Lynn on the other thread that I would come and join once it was up and running...little did I know that it would already be 5 pages long :)

I booked this cruise the week it was released-booked a Cat 7 secret verandah (6134) for the 3 of us. We have cruised on the Wonder twice but this will be our first time on the Magic. Cruising will be myself, DH, and DD who will be 11 at the time we cruise. This cruise falls between my birthday (October 6th) and my DH's birthday (October 25th). We are so looking forward to a longer cruise and not feeling rushed like we did on the 3 day trips

I am looking forward to participating in any group activities that we all cook up and already made my fish extender.

Looking forward to getting to know all of of you over the next two years until we cruise :yay:
The FE's were a great idea. Our group was small, only about 30 gifts to hand out so we were done in less than half an hour. We also had a tag game which was a magnet sheet stuck to your door. All you had to do is look at the door numbers sheet stuck on the back of it, cross you number off and stick it on someone else's door.
Some of the must have things to pack and there is a thread on it, was a good idea. We've kept some and tossed out others. We did have a cheap meash laundry hamper from the dollar store which lasted 2 trips to laundry and then we tossed it out but the canvas closet organiser and over the door organiser we will bring again since we're only there for a week we want everything close to use, not cluttered and we didn't want to search for everything in the drawers.

To be honest we noticed a big difference between Cape Canaveral and the Hyatt at MCO but what a rude awakening between sweating and needing a coat! I'm still in denial and wore a short sleeved shirt today LOL.
We drive through North Bay a few times a year, it's the halfway point to DW's parent's

Wow! This group is already growing pretty quickly. There are still some cruises that haven't even started a thread. :confused3

I was wondering if someone who has a post on page one or better yet post one, would be willing to edit their post to keep a list of who's on this cruise, room #'s, who's in the rooms with the members, etc... ?

Anyone... ? :)

Hiya:wave2: Glad you found this thread:cool1:
It's nice to have somewhere to come and talk about the cruise & all the planning with others on the same cruise.

OK, I know it's early, but a few questions on this fish extender. I know there's a thread out there with directions on how to make them, but I really don't have much talent when it comes to sewing or making crafts. For those of you who have made your own, is it really as easy as they say?

I noticed on ebay they are selling some really cute ones - I guess I could go that route. Otherwise, do they sell anything like this at a local bath/home store that I could buy (plain) and just customize myself (with some local embroidery, patches, etc.). What's my best bet??

I know I have 2 years to work on it, but with my pitiful skills it will take me that long to get something together :lmao:

PS:
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS CRUISE!!!!!! :rotfl:

I've been looking forward to and planning on this cruise date for a year already . . .been lurking and learning on the DIS for quite some time. I am willing to compile names and room # unless someone else who has more "experience" on these boards wants to do it. It's nice to be involved in a "Magical" vacation

I'm pitiful when it comes to the crafty dept. too. I have wonderful ideas...but something is always lost in translation in the construction stage.:rotfl2: Mine was actually made by two different people, the bottom by one and the patches by another. It turned out great. I have cruised twice with one of the popular FE sellers on Ebay, Tiffany. She is Luvtheears on the Dis and Gradysmommy on ebay. She is wonderful. He work is fabulous and she does not charge an arm and a leg ($25 plus $5 shipping). Although you don't have to spend a lot. One person on our last cruise used a flag (no kidding. it had a little pocket sewn in the back of it), one used a plastic shower organizer, and a few just used tote bags. I know there are instructions for a no-sew version (using bias tape, I guess or glue gun?:confused3 ) But I just did not even attempt it....:lmao:

Oooh, Nancy did you just volunteer? ;)

In order of appearance:
dzzy 7620 (sv), 7621
DizzylandDeb 6051
MouseMadness
neener1 6634 (sv), 6635
livingis2me
squitty 7120 (sv)
donaldsthebest
Pinkgurlshubby 6064
Pinkygirl 6064
bzzelady 6134 (sv)
janp ???? (sp)

Look at that, we have 10 already! (Or well, 9...not sure if we count as 2!:rolleyes1 )

We bought a pirate chest at Michael's while some made their own and some bought them off of Ebay. Even a simple canvas carry bag with an ironed on patch of the cruise name works well.
My DW ended up volenteering, or is that volentold to be in charge of the FE gifts and also the built the navigator. The only thing I would suggest is someone starting a site that we can all have access to for all our personal info and keep it off of here

I don't mind doing it at all!!!!!!!! I'd be happy to do it LOL

And I could start a website too for us all if you want ....to add the FE info, list of cruisers etc... someone on our past cruise made one for us and I thought it was a great place to put everything. Only people here on this cruise would have access to it though.
