Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

* chinese*

Ali that bee sting sounds horrid, glad you are OK. When younger my mum sat on a bee whilst visiting a pottery centre in Devon. She screamed pulled up her skirt and got my dad to look at her bum!!! :lmao:

I was sooooo embarrased, I was about 12yrs old and EVERYTHING your parents do then is "sad"! but this, well I was mortified! My mum got a massive red lump where the sting was, and the funniest part was having to buy a swimming blow up (rubber ring) for her to sit down on. We were in a hotel on holiday nd boy did she get strange looks that evening! :rotfl2:

Jules, I think they took tents there, though didnt see any,but the the site was big! We are going to Dawlish for a week on 29th July with our dog and my Mum and Dad! We havent shared a caravan with anyone before, my parents are pretty easy going so should be ok. Elouise will love the time with her Grandma and Granddad. ( we will love the rest, when they take her off for a while ) :rotfl: :goodvibes

I first went to Florida in 1990. I didnt really know ANYTHING about Florida dinsey or even what US was! I cried whenI saw the castle and thought we had "done" the park when we did just Frontierland and fantasy land. I loved having my pictures taken with the characters, and I kept saying "wow" about everything! I started a tradition too, ( crying as we leave Florida) I cry when we leave every year, on the plan im so sad.
But im always planning ways to get back ! :cheer2:

(One possible "takeaway" choice!)
(We Americans say "take out")

I had to laugh about the neck phobia too! That is very cute Jules!

I am trying to remember what year it was when I first went to WDW. I think it was only the second time that I went to Florida to see Jane and Alie (and Ty). It was '99 or 2000. But, I have been there quite a few times since then. I have probably read every WDW guidebook there is so I knew a lot about it and had made lists of exactly what I wanted to see. I love that WDW is so big and there are so many resorts to choose from.

Yer I am proud, though at times she drives me crazy!

Guess wot ive done, Wayne doesnt even know yet.

Ive booked the character meals at MGM with Jo jo s circus a tv prog off the Disney playhouse channel. Ellies been watching it a while and said how cool Jo jo was. I then said, ok go to the fridge and find all the words with a J and an O in them, if you get them ALL, we go for breakfast with Jo Jo.

Yep you guessed it, she found...... on, no, jump, jazz ( our dog), dog, for, of go, going and look!

She was so chuffed with herself, she thought we were going there and then !!!! :confused3 I had to explain when we were in USA!

Shes also amazed that if she clicks on the words a pcture of herself comes up on the computer!!! this is her latest "trick"!! :rotfl2:

milk

Oh Linda you are wicked, I can just see Wayne with Jo Jo :rotfl2:

I make Ian come to a character meal ever year, this year we have ADRs for Liberty Tree and Crystal Palace, got to see Mickey and Pooh ....

Ellie will love it :Pinkbounc

COW

I know of the Jo Jo charecter, I think you will have a lot of fun at the breakfast. There will probably be other daddy's there so Wayne should be fine! (Unless he has a fear of clowns??)

I enjoyed the Elouise photos! princess:

* grass* not the smoking type !!!! :rotfl2:

Ive just moved it to lunch, as we never get our moneys worth at b/fast! ( except the first morning when we are up VERY early and are starving!)

hee hee.... MUST get a photo with Jojo and wayne! :teeth:

green

I am sure that Wayne will enjoy it Linda, Ian always does :rotfl2: I agree that lunch will be better, we are never that hungry for breakfast either, except as you say on the first morning when you wake up before you are wise and are sat around waiting for the parks to open :rolleyes1

We did something exciting yesterday too - we have always wanted to do the Illuminations cruise, but the $250 price was a bit steep for just the two of us. I posted on the DIS to see if anyone would let us join them on their cruise. I got a mail yesterday from a nice family in New Jersey inviting us to join them, there is a DW, DH, DS and DD, they seem really nice and we are going to split the cost out between us, so we will pay $45 dollars each including drivers tip, we are ver excited about this as Illuminations is my favourite. The nice DW is going to make the ressie when our 90 days comes round and then we should be set to go :Pinkbounc

So between Jo Jo and Illuminations and all getting together for dinner on the cruise exciting times are ahead :cheer2:

Hulk

Wow, you guys posted a whole page while I was away. :thumbsup2

My first trip to Disney was July 1982. I had just gotten out of bootcamp for the USN and completed an electronics training class in Orlando. I went to Epoct with some Navy friends the day before I was to leave for Chicago to continue my training. I fell in love with Figment :lovestruc

Linda, I can not get over what a beautiful and smart girl Elouise is. It will be so much fun meeting her in October. (Her mom seems pretty cool too  )

*incredible*

Jane, yoou say the cutest things! Thanks!
Elouise is very thrilled to have a whole bunch of "ship mates" to lead at the pirates party! Shes told EVERYONE at pre school of mummy new friends. We even looked on the map where Wales and America was!

Well You will know how crazy i am soon, when you meet me. But I brought some flashing coloured ice cubes today, from E Bay. to add to Elouises drinks, thought this would keep here happy/ quiet for 5 mins! Though I have to admit, playing with them today, they are soooooooooooooo cool ( flashing eetc ) if England, no sorry, WHEN England beat Portugal on Saturday, I might floats them all in the big bowl of punch I'm making!! :goodvibes

Wow Jules thats a great deal for the Illumanations, will be interested to get your feedback on that. Sounds like a nice family to share with too ! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I wonder what the other cruisers on this thread are doing? They are very very quiet!!! Hope some new people join us soon. But then on the other hand, it will be great if our cruise dosnet have tooo many Disers, as we will know all the tricks of the trade!!!! :teeth:

Mr

It will be great for Ellie to lead us as a merry bunch of pirates

I always want those flashing things when we go to the 50's Prime Time, I am like a big kid, where did u find them on e-bay Linda, I can do Ians head in with them.

Talking of people on our cruise, I am quite happy with our little gang, but what happened to all the people who were posting at the start of this thread, it just seems to be us few now !

Hope Jane, Alie, Sue, Kelly are all having fun whatever you are up to, perhaps Kelly is busy with wedding plans, and we have heard from Jane today

*Mrs*

Jules I got them off E bay, find.ur.needs was the buyer. £4.98 for 4 including p & P on buy now. Put in flashing ice cubes and lots come up, however alot are from US, so P & P is alot higher. I think they are a good price, with 3 modes, on, slow flash and quick flash!
Hey if England score a hatric I will have them on super flashing mode to keep up with me dancing around the room! :lmao:

I know, i wonder where everyone is?

Hey Kelly any more Wedding info ???? I Love  wedding stuff!

Miss

SWISS

I had to wait until my break to say hello!
I am very happy with our group of dis-friends too! Of course, more are welcome if they find us before October! :grouphug:

I like reading about your footie celebrations! I have heard a few people around my office at work talking about the games as well and have seen a bit on television. :cheer2:

Jane, Alie, and I got the ice cubes that light up when we ate at the Poly at WDW a few years ago. Ours don't blink but they do look good. I still have mine and it still works. I have also seen similar ones for sale at Target. Of course, you probably don't shop at Target in Wales. ;)

disfriends!

CHEESE

I bought a dozen of the flashing lite cubes months ago and we're giving 2 each to everyone in the wedding party at our reception!!! I got them off eBay too. I ordered white and lime green and they have the 3 different flashing modes just like yours Linda. How cool :thumbsup2
