Welcome Aboard! :sail:

I will pay at the Meet or whichever is better for you on ship. We are in Scotland.
Hope that is fine with you and thank you again for doing this.:thumbsup2

Sure, no problem. I plan on wearing mine to the ship so if you are waiting to board and see some people with the green bands on it is most likely my family and I would be happy to pass them out to you. It is also going to be a good way to get to meet most of you. What fun! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the welcomes. I am very excited for my first Disney Cruise. I have been on many other cruises - primarily NCL. I am really excited to do the FE. My problem is that I not imaginative and definitely not crafty, so it will be an adventure - that I'm looking forward to.

I'm doing lots of research on this board but I still have some questions particularly regarding dress. I would really like some imput as to what people wear for formal night. I assume there is formal night(s)? I would like to know what "you" will be wearing. And I would like your view on what others will be wearing.

I am disappointed that there will not be high tea. :(

Thank you in advance for your help.

So sorry to see you go! We also are discouraged with the flights being so expensive this year. The prices have doubled what we paid last year and the year before. We decided to open a cc that gave us a lot of miles. Enough to take care of two of our RT tickets! I hope that you can reschedule your trip for a later date. :wave2:

That's what we do too. We've got a card that we put EVERYTHING on, and just pay it once a week or so to not carry a balance. I can't believe how expensive flights are now!

I think we've got lots of experience with cruises on this meet, so you'll get more responses that just me, but for our family, we don't really do super formal. I have a dress that's nice, but not formal, I can wear it to Palo, formal night and semi-formal night (you'll see it a lot! :lmao:). Pretty much the rest of the family is the same, we'll do nice clothes, but not formals and tuxes.

There will probably be a good mix of folks who dress up, dress nice, and don't dress on formal night, so pretty much whatever you choose to wear, it's good. Since we don't really dress up, we also don't do the Captain's reception either, but it's there.

We are in Sioux Falls. So excited to have another SD cruiser on board.
we do make it out west river about three or four times a year and really enjoy it. Kids in hockey and conventions mostly but we make sure to have play time for sledding/snowmobiling.

:thumbsup2 We are excited to see someone from our area there.

Is anyone planning on eating at Remy's? Just curious...

Not really sure yet, we are considering renting a tux for DH on the ship just so he won't have to pack a suit.

I read somewhere on the boards here that there is a high tea, maybe with Alice in Wonderland. Not sure if it is kid oriented or not. You make reservations once on the ship. I will look for it in the navigator that I printed. Pretty sure that I saw it here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1380936.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I can't wait for the cruise too! :cool1:

I looked at all the great ideas. My problem is there is creativity in my head that NEVER transfers to my hands. We'll see :)

Just wondered what port adventures everyone is planning on doing? As i have mentioned its our first ever cruise and we have never been to any of the ports. Because of this we want to make the most of it and do something at each port. We know we want to do something involving sting ray island at grand cayman but other than that we havent a clue. Oh and we want to hire bikes at CC.

I am confusing myself the more i read and have about 20 trips saved on the DCL site.

Anyone able to recomend any trips? Its just myself and dh (mid 40s) Not really keen on snorkelling but other than that anything goes.

All suggestions appreciated.

Just another thought-i quite fancy some of the spa treatments-are these pre bookable or do you book once on board and are they worth it?

Not sure if it's been decided yet, as I've been offline for a bit. But, I was under the assumption that there were 30 in the FE group and I already purchased enough for 30 cabins. I thought I remember reading another suggestion that if people wanted to participate in both groups that could be an option. Unfortunately, I cannot return my things so I'd be interesed in doing that if it was an option.
Sorry for my confusion.

I've also posted a folder on my 4sahred account that's labeled "Swashbucklers of the Caribbean." These images are strickly for our cruise but I admit I'm having some trouble keeping them that way. (There is also a FE thread that is helpful.) The link is in my siggie.:goodvibes

I read on the Passporter boards that the High Tea has been canceled on all Disney Cruises. This is the reason:

Based on the popularity of Palo Brunch onboard the Disney Cruise Line, brunch hours have recently been extended in an effort to accommodate even more guests. As a result, Palo High Tea will no longer be offered as a dining option aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships. The effective sail dates when this change will take place are as follows:Disney Magic – 8/10/12, Disney Wonder – 8/13/12, Disney Dream – 7/22/12 and Disney Fantasy – 8/13/12.

Would love to get brunch this time. So far no luck.

Oh Darn! I wanted my girls to do the tea :faint:

What do you mean no luck on Palo Brunch? Are you already able to make reservations?

I don't think that we can know exactly how many cabins will be in each group until we know how many total cabins join. I assume that we will divide them up equally into 2 or 3 groups depending on how many there are. If you end up having extra gifts I don't see why you couldn't just pass out your extras to a few cabins that you choose that are not on your list. I know that if my neighbors don't end up being on my list I will bring extras for them for sure.

I know what you mean. I need to make a test batch of my FE gifts so that I can figure out if it will work. I need to do it soon because if they don't I will have to find a backup! :confused3

Shadowryter,
I didn't know that you have a file of images for our cruise! How did I miss that?
I did know that you made the two logos for our cruise - very cool.
Where exactly is the folder? I wasn't able to find it?
:artist:

I just found out the we will be having a celebration after all.
DD will be getting her braces off in Oct.!
That will be something to celebrate!

:jumping1:

The link is in her signature line. I'm not sure if I'm excited looking at it or feeling more adequate than ever.:worship:

I'm going to put in requests and they aren't even for the cruise. I have two trips to WDW planned before the cruise - short weekends. And my daughter will be finishing up the college program.

I wish.:rotfl:No...I just haven't had any luck on our last two cruises. First time on the Wonder no luck online and I was first on the wait list onboard. Last year on the Dream...again no luck online but I was so close until the system glitched. I injured myself at DTD and was just too tired to try when I got onboard. They say third times the charm but I won't hold my breath, even with the extended times.:confused3

I'm testing mine out today...so far so good.:thumbsup2

I do have a file but I can't trust my 4shared any more so I'm moving to Photobucket. When I'm settled I will post a link. Hopefully by tomorrow.:goodvibes
