Oct. 12, 2013 - WONDERful cruise from Galveston

Anyone else with a 5ish yr old boy and/or 2ish yr old girl? Or there abouts?

Our boys will be celebrating their birthdays on the cruise - the eldest turns 5, while the youngest turns 4. True "Irish Twins" keeps DW busy.

What a great age to be on board. We cruised with them earlier this month and every night in their prayers they thank God for the cruise they went on. How sweet!

That's great Beaglefan! Hopefully, our boys will be able to play together on the trip! :)

We want in on the FE!

We are super excited :cool1::cool1: I

I've been off for a few weeks. Hello to everyone joining us. I know it seems like a long time but hopefully it goes. Fast.

What are you looking forward to the most?

We are in for the FE. My crafty gene can't handle passing up the opportunity to do something like this. It is DH and I and we don't know what room we will be in yet because we are in a gty reservation. We live in Texas so we will be driving to the port and paying for parking. I do think we will drive up the night before so we can leisurely have breakfast in the morning. Although we might not do that if our PAT is late.

Sent a friend request to Kate on Facebook.

Is this fun for the kids at heart or is it mostly for the kids. Maybe if we split into a couple of groups we can have an adult FE :joker:

Phew! Just got through reading all 16+ pages!

I love this idea Tawney! But for the opposite reason. I'm not sure if the FE lists have already been sorted out, but I like the idea of having an adult only list and one with families. There seems like there are already a lot of people interested and it makes sense to seperate the two. Personally, I'd like to give stuff to the kids that the adults would probably have no use for. And I'm really not interested in getting stuff for myself, just the kids.

Oh and we're room #6554. Please add DS & DD to the list. You can call them Brother Bear & Sister Bear. I'm little leary of posting their actual names outside our room. Thanks!!!

I take this back. I think I just thought of something that both the kids & the adults would like AND it represents my state. So however the list get split up is fine with me. Sorry if I caused any trouble!

I am helping DRAMAMAMA keep up with the FE. I am a platinum castaway club member (this is cruise 14) I sailed on the Magic out of Galveston on March 1st. I would be happy to answer any questions that I can for first time cruisers or those new to Galveston. I can't wait to meet everyone.

Welcome to all the new cruisers joining daily!

HI Disneyfan19712006 - Could you please give us a bit of information on the FE groups? I have never been a part of one as of yet, but am looking forward to getting started. I know that DRAMAMAMA started it but havent seen any posts about it in a while. Can you say if we are going to break it into a few groups or? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!! :flower3:

I have to admit I tend to loose track of DIS names, FB names and other names. Maybe if we do a quick little Roll Call on DIS that will help, because I know everyone is not on facebook yet.

BTW. I am also leary about putting children's names out in a public forum so you will not see that posted

Our family has been wondering a couple of things:
1. What is the depth in the Goofy pool? (Our boys are on the short side for their ages so they wanted to know if they would be able to touch bottom).
2. Does the drinking water taste? (Every Carnival ship we have been on the drinking water always seems to have a moldy taste).

Since this is our first DCL cruise we were hoping some of you experienced people might have the answers for us.

Thanks!
