We may be heading there this weekend for my birthday , and I am wondering if the stores and restaurants are still open. Is the boardwalk going to be open as well?

I heard that this is the last weekend before most places close for the winter.

Most everything will be open, including the boardwalk(i don't think it is ever closed) and the tram. There is a lot going on this weekend, check out www.ococean.com for good info.. The winefest is this weekend, which is fun.

First tell whoever told you the red line...Tell them that may have been about20 years ago, but not today.

Most things will be open. No they will not be open late like if you came over July 4th weekend, but most is open. There are somethings that are closed, but not a lot. Most things will not close until after Endless Summer Crusin'. Secrets will still be open, but the party block is closed. The Pier and Trimpers will be open for the most part, but Jolly Rodgers will be closed. BonFire and Embers will open as well as Philliphs. There is also Wine Fest on the inlet lot, there is a fishing tourament going on.
