I'm set to sail on Sept 11 on the Western Caribbean for 7 days and I have a few questions related to my kids.

I have twins that will almost be 3 when we sail. Specifically, they will be 6 weeks short of 3 when we sail. They are both fully potty trained and attend day care 5 days a week so they know how to handle themselves in a room full of kids. On occasion, they do cry for the first 5 minutes after we leave and then start to play. I noticed that the Disney information says that they will allow younger children in their club if they are 1 month short of the minimal age (mine will be1 1/2 months ). Will I still be able to let them into the Oceaneers Club? I've run a few searches and it seems that some have had their 2 1/2 yr olds in the club so I'm hoping that they're not too strict.

Also, would I be able to hang out with them for the first 1/2 hour to get them used to the place or would they frown on Mommy hanging out with the kids and getting in the way?

We are actually on deck 5. Not sure if that's a mistake but it's convenient for the kids.

My kids are not the most well-behaved at dinner. I try but the occasional tantrum occurs and they aren't the neatest little guys. Something will most likely be spilled if I'm not hawking over them. Upscale for us these days, is a coffee house or family restaurant. They do ok, but a family restaurant is not the same as the dining room on a cruise. I would hope that the waiters have seen it all. I'm also hoping that we get our own table since I don't want to torture any guests. We have requested our own table and early seating.

Any advice, tips or answers to my questions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Tammy, there is a strong possiblity that you will be able to put the twins in , speak to the CM , the oceaneers club will usually take them on a trial basis for the first day to see how them manage with the group and discuss with you, also i believe if they do have an accident (potty) then they will be excluded for a day I also believe they are fine for Mommy to be around either for 1/2 hour or longer if you wanted.

As for dinner , the CM's have seen everything and then some and are fantastic at keeping kids entertained, ask for their meals to come with your starters so that they aren't kept waiting , the CM's will do magic tricks etc and the kids will be fine, you should be able to get your own table but if not you will be seated with similar family dynamics which can also be good, don't worry your babies will do fine and you will be able to enjoy your holiday.
have a great time

I agree that the probability is good that the will be allowed in - do keep in mind that Disney does put a cap on the number of kids on the boat for kids club purposes, and saying "no" may mean that they have every available slot in the club filled. (And given that 3 year olds pay more than kids six weeks shy of their 3rd birthday, only fair that the parents paying get first dibs on the club).

If you share a table, odds are pretty good that you'll share a table with another family with younger kids.

The comment about potty accidents not being allowed back for a day. I don't think that's true. Mine daughter had 2 slight accidents on our cruise. The first one was the first day, and basically she didn't get on the potty in time (she hit the floor right before it). This one was about 10 at night and we were actually just at the doorway when we were paged. They had her sitting on a mat with a sheet on it off to the side with a CM. When she got up they stripped the sheet, whiped the mat down, and took it away. When we left they said to her see you tomorrow.

A few days later we got a page to come get her. She had had a wiping problem and needed to change. She was all upset because she wanted to stay. They told her go back to your room and change, and then come back.

Also we stayed on deck 5 and loved the convience. We'd pick her up and be at our room in seconds. Our only problem was one night there was some sort of party in the restuarant below us and we could hear loud music till about 1am.
