We will be traveling with another family and their girls are 5 and 8 and my girls are 3 and 6 the girls are very close will they sperate them in the oceaneer club or do they have a pretty open policy from age group to age group?

I hope this works for us my little one is 3 even though she says she is 4 and belives she is 4 she will be left behind.

Are the 3 & 4 and the 5-7 at least in the same room and they interact. If not any suggestions of what I can do for her to be with them.

I hope somthing can be worked out else she will not be to happy and might just hang on me the whole time.

My experience has been that they will bump up within one month of the birthday but they will always bump down. My girls are 2 years apart and always want to be together and Disney has always accomodated us by bumping the older one down rather than bumping the younger one up. Hope your kids love the club, mine do!

On our last cruise DD was 4 & DS was 6. They were in seperate groups & spent more time apart than together. When I told the counselors that DD may get upset & to call us if she had issues they told me that if it was a problem they could move her up to the 5-7 group to be with her brother if that would help. She has been in preschool for 2 1/2 years now & follows directions well, so that may have had something to do with their offer. I kept her in the 3-4s since we were traveling with a fellow DISer with a 4 yo DD and they were sticking together.

I think that shows that they are willing to look at every situation individually. I never would have asked to have her moved up to be with her brother, but they offered it as a possible solution.

The CM told me at registration that the policy is that if your child is close to the next age group, she may move up once, and if she decides to go back to the lower age group (or vice versa) she can only do this ONE time. In other words, make a decision and stick with it. No switching back and forth.

Thanks so much for the help. I know she will want to be with the older girls and I hope they see it is not fair the 3 of them are together and she is all alone. Plus she has been in pre-school full time and is very adjusted with this type of enviorment. So I will request it when I sign her in.
