Here is the picture Scott posted on Twitter of the new bands. I have seen them in red also. He says the replacement cost if you lose them is $13. Much better than the old band cost!
They are all yellow. You get a red button instead of grey if you have an allergy.
You are charged day 1 & the charge is refunded if u return it. Many keep as souvenirs. You may also reuse from cruise to cruise.

Can anyone confirm if and when they will be on the other ships?
.... and was not too happy to shell out that $250. ....
I believe it's $250 for a lost/damaged Wave Phone, and $50 for a lost Kids Club bracelet doohickey.
But all great to learn from! The Mickey bands were great. Along with the new bands(yes, we kept ours) the computer system is different. They took updated pictures of us at the port. When you take your child out of the club and they tap the band, it brings up the child's picture as well as a picture of all authorized adults who can pick the child up along with asking for your password. I felt like that was an added security feature. The band fit much more comfortably than the old Mickey bands.
I was told that they will add this to all the ships in the near future.

. Yes you are right... $50. Lol. I think it's been too long since I've been on a cruise. I'm starting to forget details. July is too long to wait. I had better book another ASAP.I believe it's $250 for a lost/damaged Wave Phone, and $50 for a lost Kids Club bracelet doohickey.

Good to hear the photo authorization worked out well for you! The managers have been able to do this FOREVER, so it's a nice extra verification check.
Did the process feel much smoother and more efficient to you?
(I'm very curious to hear what the guests think after hearing from the CMs currently on the Magic!)
