We are booked in an ocean view one-bedroom villa and I was wondering which tower/view is the best. I have read that higher floors are better, so we will definitely be requesting that, but is there a particular tower or view that gives the best view and the least amount of noise?

For the quietest view you would want the Ewa Tower, upper floor, odd numbered villa. The even numbered villas face toward the pool and although they offer spectacular ocean views, the pool can be noisy. You don't say when you're going to Aulani, but the Four Seasons complex next door is under major renovation until the end of May. Four Seasons is next to the Waianae Tower. Once the construction is done that side of the Waianae Tower facing the Four Seasons should be fairly quiet too. See this post for much more information about Aulani Villas and views: http://www.disboards.com/threads/aulani-villas-views-updated-03-18-2016.2907389/

Thank you very much for your reply, BobNed! We are going in the beginning of May, so the Four Seasons construction noise will still be an issue. For our purposes, I think we would rather have a spectacular view with some noise, rather than an inferior view with less noise. Looks like we should be requesting a villa facing the pool then. Thanks again!

I would request Ewa Tower, upper floor (ocean views start on the 6th floor) overlooking the pool. I really like the short wing of Ewa, villas ending in 58.

Sorry to jump in here, but we have 3 rooms and I'm stressing about getting good views since there were many thousands extra paid for that between the 3! The ones I've seen overlooking the pools seem to have more of a peek-a-boo view of the ocean; I have in my mind a full ocean view, but maybe they don't exist there?

We have been 4 times and are going again on may 20. We always get a one bedroom in the Ewe building, 9th Floor or above right above the outdoor area where there is music every night...sorry can't remrmber the name We can sit on our balcony, listen to music, drink our wine, look below to the lazy river and out to the ocean. For us it's perfect because we love to have a view of the river and pool. I've tried to attach a picture of our view taken in the early evening

We originally had an ocean view on the Four Seasons side when we traveled in March. It was not great... active construction below and the ocean is past the other resort, so not a great view at all. So I asked to change rooms to a pool view, in the same tower. Here was our view... I loved the second room, and I really enjoyed the pool side. In the evenings we sat on our balcony and listened to the live music playing from the restaurant below. This was the 14th floor.

Its the 3 bedrooms that have straight on ocean views, the others are all at an angle, not that you can't see the ocean as shown above.

Oh, Ok, we have a 2 BR and two studios. Both of these views look pretty good to me, though! I've seen some that were just tiny glimpses, we eould be so disappointed with that! Thanks for the pics!

I have an ocean view studio booked. So if I want to avoid the construction from next door, it sounds like I should request Ewa building. Is this correct? I'll be happy to just be there, but since I got stuck paying the points for ocean view since nothing else was available at 7 months, I'd like to have a good one. :beach:

Yes, ewa tower, high floor

Going in October...how,when,where do we make room requests?
If you a DVC member you make your requests through Member Services any time. If you booked through CRO you make your requests through them. If you are renting points, you need to contact the person you rented from to have them make your request.

In contrast to the photo I posted above, this was our original "ocean view" one bedroom suite, which overlooked the Four Seasons. This was the 15th floor. It's hard to see from the photo, but they were actively paving the reception traffic circle below when we were there.

Perfect. Thank you!!

Is there a spot on online check in to make requests like there is for the other DVC resorts?
