hello my helpful friends! My family and I are going to the World again this June. I booked my dinning this morning..had to take some 2nd choices, but I can deal...hopefully! I have OCD and have MAJOR planning issues. I need to know everything I can BEFORE I get anywhere...surprises are a major trigger point for me!! So if you all could help me with AS MUCH INFO AS YOU CAN SHARE on my dinning ressies it would really help. I could really use pics of food and restaurants, what you ordered, what NOT to order. Like I said..the more info the better! Thanks everyone!

1.Whyspering Canyon Cafe dinner
2.BOMA dinner
3.Tutto Italia dinner
4. Spoodles dinner
5. O'Hana dinner..this is the only one we have done before
6.Crystal Palace dinner

BOMA dinner - went in Oct, didnt like it at all...do not like my entrees to be sweeter than my dessert..prefer breakfast instead

Tutto Italia dinner - LOVE THIS PLACE! Ate here in Oct and April 08 and it was fantastic!

Spoodles dinner - Very good food but loud atmosphere, ate here in June 08

O'Hana dinner..this is the only one we have done before - I really liked it but DH didnt like anything except the dessert...ate here in April 08

Crystal Palace dinner - great food but super loud atmosphere, prefer breakfast instead

We have eaten at all of those restaurants. I think they are very good choices. I will admit that we were not fond of WCC but others love it. I think everyone needs to try things for themselves.

Tutto Italia and Spoodles are two of our favorites! The antipasto platter at Tutto is absolutely wonderful! There pics from both of these in my dinner report from last September (Mom & Son Eat the World). I am not sure how to post links but I can try to find the thread and post them.

THANKS..KEEP THE INFO COMING....I DO MUCH BETTER WITH ALOT OF INFO!!

From your list, I've eaten at Ohana and Tutto Italia.

At Tutto Italia - I ordered the farfalle - bowtie pasta in a cream sauce with peas & ham. (It was called Bucattini one time we were there) Everyone at our table declared it to be the best entree at the table. (There was a kids version on the kids menu - my DD loved it). Those at the table that got spaghetti & meatballs thought it was good, not great.

At Ohana - everyone at our table loved the wings! The noodles were OK. They brought skewers of the different meats. Some of them were cooked just perfectly, some were on the dry side. The dessert bread pudding was awesome!

Boma Love it, start with lots of fruit (strawberries are always bigger here somehow) hummus and flat African bread. Good soups, a couple of weird stews, nice veg, amazing salads although I'm not keen on the rind salad. The meat is good last time we had a prime rib, chicken and salmon.

The desserts at Boma are the best at WDW in my opinion. Love the cocomisu (sp?) the zebra domes are cute the chocolate mousse is yummy.

I could seriously eat here every night of a two week stay and not get bored with the food. Also the drinks especially the strawberry basil lemonade are fabulous.

Crystal Palace The salads are ok, nothing fancy but fresh and I really liked the tomato and mozzarella one. The meat was nice and the fruits. I don't think the desserts are anything special there though.

Ohanas We ate here on the old menu and the food was fine but the meat a little dry for my liking. The dessert was yummy - I love bread and butter pudding and just went without the Banana fosters (ask for it served separately if you have a banana hater like me.) The Lapu lapu drink looks beautiful but was overstrong for me personally. We preferred the breakfast at Ohanas this trip to be honest.

WCC We went looking for non-gourmet 'American' fayre and that is exactly what the skillet gives you. The dressing on the salad was to die for, the bread was good and the skillet was basic but very well cooked and just what I wanted to be honest.

Enjoy your trip.

I have only eaten at:

Tutto Italia--very good meal. We went here on our first night. I may have pics up on my food report in my siggie. If they aren't there, they will be soon.

Crystal Palace--Most surprising meal of the trip for me! I LOVED it! We didn't have our kids with us, so we weren't so involved with the characters. The mashed potatoes and turkey were SO good! Also may have pics. of this.

I will have to see if I have any pics from WCC, Boma or Crystal Palace, though I imagine that a google images search should give you at least a few pics.

WCC - First off, this can be a very rambunctious place. The servers there are notorious for various games and antics, though you can let your server know from the beginning that you are not interested in "playing"

Foodwise - I've had the grilled chicken pasta and (I think) the pork chops. Both were fairly typical, no surprises. The kids have had the mac-n-cheese, which is probably the least appetizing mac-n-cheese I have had at WDW.

Boma - we were there earlier this year. It's a buffet, so the menu does change, but apparently the flatbreads, hummus, fresh fruit and veggies don't change much. The roast pork was good. The zebra domes are great.

Spoodles - it's been a few years since we ate there. I think I had the rigatoni, but the salmon and grilled chicken were pretty good too.

We loved WCC, but for breakfast. I havent heard great things about dinner. Ohana is a family favorite of ours. We always go there at least once per visit. Try 50`s Prime Time @ DHS, it is so much fun! We liked it better than SFDI. Enjoy! Hope this helps!

Here is my 2 cents, of course everyone has different opinions on food. I like Boma, I really like it for breakfast but it is good for dinner too. They have fabulous fresh fruit and awesome deserts for dinner. You can get their famous "jungle juice" for dinner too, just have to ask. It is really good! The food is different so if you are not adventurous I wouldn't try it, but if you like hummus you can always eat a lot of that! :)

My family of four went to Spoodles last time and I know we are in the minority but we didn't care for it, the food was just OK. We were really tired that day so that could be why.

As for the others, I have not been to any of the others listed. Personally, I like Kona's. I think the food at Kona's is the best in Disney!

We ate at Crystal Palace for dinner last October. We loved it! So far it's our favorite buffet. It has good food and the characters are a lot of fun. Sorry no pics of the food. :(

We loved Whispering Canyon Cafe also. We've only had the Canyon Skillet. The Yukon potatoes are the best part.

Have had Spoodles for breakfast and we weren't all that impressed. We are trying Ohana's for breakfast in June.
I hope you enjoy them all! :goodvibes

thanks for the pics and info!! i have been to all the DHS meals, that is why we are trying Spoodles (fingers crossed)..the O'hana dinner is the only meal we have done before on this trip..but it is a must for my hubby!!

1.Whyspering Canyon Cafe dinner We LOOOOVE WCC! Get the skillet!!!
2.BOMA dinner Went a few years ago, weren't big fans, but we seem to be in the minority here on the DIS.
3.Tutto Italia dinner Love Tutto Italia! I always order this chicken with tomato thing...don't remember what it's called but it's fantastic! So is their bread.
4. Spoodles dinner Never been, sorry!
5. O'Hana dinner..this is the only one we have done before Good, so you know how amazing it is!
6.Crystal Palace dinner We love CP!

My comments in blue! :goodvibes

I've only ate at two places on your list, Ohana and WCC. If you've already eaten at Ohana you know already and probably don't really need anymore input. Personally though, I'm not a fan of WCC. The server's antics are very hit and miss, you may have fun with your server, you may not. You may end up sitting in the back of the restaurant that seems like it's out in the lobby. If you are there you can't even see other people having fun.

The last time we ate at WCC the food was terrible. All the food was greasy, even the corn. I love BBQ but this food was almost unedible. Now I will admit I am in the minority, here on the Dis most Dissers love WCC. You may love it also.
