...if there'd been an option where I could get an entire "sorority" in my Studio, I might have reconsidered....

I could definitely see it for the situation you describe. For us with three little boys, one still under 3 we wouldn't have them sleep by themselves in the second bedroom anyway, we all sleep together in the same room on vacations. The boys need assistance during the night, and we like to know where they are, they are still at the age where they need to be supervised. Besides, we enjoy being together. The second bedroom would be completely empty for our family while the children are still small. When they get bigger, defintely 2 bedroom. For now it just doesn't make sense for us to have that empty bedroom that's not used sitting next to us. I don't advocate an entire sorority in a one bedroom, but two married adults and 3 small children of the same gender is very comfortable for now. In fact it would probably be a little creepy having the one extra room that's not being used as a part of our accomodations, it's one more sink, tub, bathroom area and balconey access that has to be monitored. If the 5 people consisted of any additional adult guests besides one couple as you describe above, I'd have to agree, the second bedroom is needed. But in our case the second bedroom isn't needed. Someone else can enjoy it as a studio accomodation for one or two people. I don't take two parking spaces by straddling the line when I park my van and only need one parking space.Originally posted by Deb & Bill
We just had four in a one bedroom at SSR. It was decidedly uncomfortable. We had tried to change it to a 2 bedroom when we invited my SIL along for the trip, but we were unable to get one. We will never do a one bedroom with more than our son who is 11.

Stick with the rules as they are written.
