ocala disney store/rest stop?

Hey! Is the Ocala Disney Store still in operation. I want to upgrade my tickets to annual passes once I get to WDW, but thought about stopping on the way at Ocala and upgrading there if possible to save time!

nope. closed in 2005.

And not only have they been closed for several years, but no Disney Store can do a ticket upgrade; it can only be done at WDW.

True, they have been closed for years.

However... I didn't think it was a Disney Store like you find in the mall. Wasn't it an official stop? I know you used to be able to book rooms there.

It was called the Ocala welcom center and it was operated by Disney. Sad to see it go.

Wow! I cant believe they closed it. We always stopped there for a break and get a little Disney fix! Yes, it was more like a rest stop than a store. Oh, well! Thanks, guys!!

If you'd rather not stand in line at a park, the ticket counter at DTD is usually very quick.

I still have a sad moment every time we pass that exit. We always stopped for a quick dose of Disney going in both directions.
