Obtaining Rider Swap Pass at Hollywod Studios Rope Drop

We will be travelling during Spring Break and I was curious if anyone has experience getting a rider swap pass at either Toy Story Mania or Rock n Roller Coaster at rope drop. The last time we rope dropped Rock n Roller Coaster, but everyone was in constant motion as we walked from Hollywood Blvd through the ride queue and onto the ride. Can anyone let me know if they have gotten a child swap pass during time and how it worked?

There's no minimum height restriction at TSM.

At RnRC, (and elsewhere) take the child with you and find a CM before entering the queue.
The Rider Switch pass should be issued at that time.

I don't think you can get a normal rider swap at TSM since there's no height restriction, but when I got to the loading area I asked if I could wait while my husband and older kid rode, then hand off my infant to my husband so I could ride, and they had no problem with this. They even let my older son re-ride with me, which was a nice surprise. I wanted to get to actually play, which would be hard while gripping a baby as the car swings around.
