Obtaining 4th Fp+ if not using all of the first three

Not getting to DHS until later in day on arrival day. Only interested in TSMM and Fantasmic.

If one has FP for TSMM, Star Tours, and ToT in that order from 4:30-7:30pm concurrently and wanted to get a 4th for Fantasmic if available but wasnt going to be able to use the last one (cant use ToT...meeting friends from 6-8p for Osborne lights) would letting the pass for ToT expire count and then one could then book another FP for Fantasmic at a kiosk?

Since Fantasmic and TSMM are both tier 1, they cant be booked together as part of the original three.
Right? If letting the pass expire counts as using it then I will move ToT to the morning and just let it die then.

Or am I wasting time hoping 2 Fantasmic passes will be available day-of?

You might get lucky with 2 Fantastic but you may not even need them to be honest especially if it is a 2 show day.

You can book your fourth FP anytime after the arrival window for your third FP ends. So in this situation, that would be after 7:30.

I don't know if Fantasmic fastpasses would still be available after 7:30 or not.

Do change ToT to a morning slot and let it expire. FPs for Fantasmic should still be available at 6:00p after you have used your 3rd FP.

You could move your ToT FP to earlier in the day. There's no rule saying you have to be in the park during your FP window. If you're not planning on using it anyway, make it for like 10 AM. Then you can hit the kiosk an hour earlier at least.

I usually move the FP+ that I'm not going to use to an early slot when I'm not even in the park yet.
That only ever happens for us at Epcot though.

We have had 3 FP+ trips. We have never been able to get a 4th FP+ at DHS. Our other trips, in non crowded times we have tried before noon and nothing was available-not even one for anything. We are here today and just tried about 20 minutes ago and the only things left were Indiana jones show, disney jr show, little mermaid show and frozen sing along.

If you ONLY want two FP+ in park one (then hop to another...)
Before you use the first FP that day, CANCEL your third FP before you use the first one.

Then, just use the other two like normal.

You can then book your "4th" FP for any attraction... at the same park, or hop to an other park and book the "4th" one there.

Exactly what I've done for both of my HS days. Haven't been able to test it out yet.... 9 more days!

I believe Robo is advising to cancel "day of" and not prior to your trip. There's a different outcome with the way you have set up your FP day. You'll be limited to Tiers while the OP will be able to choose a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Attraction.

It wasn't for Fantasmic, but FWIW I got 2 at RnR as a 4th mid-afternoon last August. You never know what might open up w/cancellations, etc. Good luck!

Yes...i am hamstrung by the stupid DHS tiers. So that's why i think i have to schedule the unusable passes early, let them expire, use my tier 1 pass when i arrive and try for a day-of F! As my fourth.

You can pre-schedule them at any time,
but when you arrive at DHS that day, CANCEL the two unwanted FP+ BEFORE you use the one that you DO want.

That way, as soon as you have used the one that you DO want, you can book ANY other FP+ any tier, same-day, immediately.

How do you cancel just one or two FPs? When I tried on the app, it would only allow me to cancel the entire day. Is this something that has to be done at the kiosk?

Yes.
ANY still-available FP+, including the for same attraction you just rode with a FP+.
