I was making a list of things I want in my basket for my nephew. I cannot believe I searced the posts to do this. I am an over planner, but the basket is going to be special. It is his forst cruise and we are introducing him to Mickey Mouse and Disney. I sent him the DVD of Mickey's new Christams. He is excited to meet Mickey. So I want him to have a lot of useful things that are Mickey Mouse related. I did go to numerous stores looking for stuff, no luck. I am hoping Shirley can do better being in Orlando.

I could not believe that I could not find a tooth brush, toothpaste, or backpack.

hmm i haven't seen any mickey tooth brushes or tooth pastes now that you mentioned it... do they make them ? maybe downtown disney in the Bath & Kitchen shop they have there. What about a washcloth, they have mickey magic towels in the DS...

I am resubmitting this. I have been having a proble with the board tonight.

I am not only obsessed but determined. If Shirley cannot get the tb and paste, I will call either Disney or Oral-b muself.

My nephew is new to Disney and this is his first cruise. We are trying to introduce him to Mickey and Disney. I sent him the new christmas dvd and he is excited about seeing Mickey.

If I'm on a cruise...and especially if I am on a DISNEY CRUISE, I have better things to do than watch pro football. Like nothing. Doing absolutely nothing. That somewhat pudgy dad who sleeps everywhere on the DCL TV commercial? That was based on me.

Amazingly, for a planner, I am not packed yet, but that is because one of my black labs sulks when he sees luggage because he hates when we leave him.

Hey... that 'somewhat pudgy dad who sleeps everywhere'... thats MY DH! You are right about football, I just had to throw that in, as I remember you from an earlier football discussion on the boards.

I can totally relate to the dog thing... our greyhound sleeps next to the suitcases when they are on the bedroom floor, covering them beautifully with dog hair before we leave, then runs to the garage door the minute she sees a single piece of luggage headed toward the truck... even I'm going somewhere for the day on business, she thinks its "Time To Go"! Cries like an 83 lb baby the instant the suitcase passes the threshold!

My son has the same problem with my 180lb canine grandson. He is a great dane and he gets so upset when they get out the suitcases. He loves to come to Nanna's though. I tuck him in at night and pat him to sleep. I make sure he has a bed (double) to sleep in. I really need to get a life. HA HA.

As for the toothbrush. I called Oral-B today and they gave me the name of two stores that have them. She actually searched by specific product. I sent my sister. I am a woman on a mission. I figuredut today that I can get some of the candy from the earport when we land. We found the camera today at circut city.

I ahve already made arrangement to have the three cabins decorated. I will post as to whetther it was worth it when I return.

I sent out e-mails to my DB to let him know all the tips. Let me run this by you guys

Need cash tips for Limo driver, porters, room service. Did I forget anyone.

Mickey toothpaste - I always find it at Target... its the only stuff my picky son will use. That kid will probably be taking mickey toothpaste to college!

We cannot find the toothpast or brush here. I am goign to try one more store when I leave work today. My sister had no luck.

don't know about the limo driver...but we tip porters $1 per bag and $1 per room service. I'm going to get $20.00 in $1 coins to tip room service and just use small bills for the porters.

We have a Happy limo driver so I'm curious to see from others what I should tip the driver. Good question

We plan to tip 20%. The cost is 300.00 roundtruip. I figure we will give 30.oo when they drop us off and 30 when the pick us back up. I hope that is fair.

I just looked up my confirmation with Happy Limo. We are only going 1-way...from our hotel (Sheraton Vistana) to the airport. We rented a hummer limo for 10DS birthday. It is a surprise.

My basic rate is 225.00

gratuity 45.00
total 272.00

I hope that I don't have to tip the driver again. Is this correct????

I desperately need this mini cruise. I had the worst day. I was in court all day and it was ugly. The sad part is that I was uo to wee hours in the morning planning and preparing for court. I have to tell you that the judicial system has some serious flaws. Oh, I was in court because my home was broken into and they caught two creeps. I think there were more, but I am not going to dwell on that anymore. One guy (they were cousins) testified against the other and was given a walk. He will serve no jail time. The other was found guilty and has 25 years hanging over his head. The sentencing is not till 3/1/05. UGH! Felt sorry for him today having to listen to my frustration. He is so lucky he is not here to deal with it. I just want to move on and have this all behind me.

Now I will have to plan on what I am going to say at the sentencing, but for now I am going to think only of this pending cruise and what a beutiful surprise it will be for my DH.

aww Dee i am sooo sorry. you know it seems that Everyone here is having some type of crappy day. i am trying my hardest to be peppy but i think my pep is pepped out. DH is sick and is suppose to leave Thursday to go to NC to do some work at his uncle's house. He won't be back til Sunday. The only 3 things I look forward to his trip is 1. the nice king size bed totaly to myself 2. my DS and I will have some "alone time" and 3. DH safe return home.

when is your mini cruise?? can i fit in your suitcase ??
