I’m a planner. I love to plan but I’m also flexible and can change plans quickly if need to. This is my plan for our only WDW park day at MK on August 5th. I know it’s still very early but I want to have a plan so I can move on to other things (right now I’m obsessed with our day at WDW).

My youngest dd will be 2yo and my oldest dd 5yo (40in) when we’ll visit. My youngest dd never been to WDW before but she's already a thrill-seeker that one and my oldest never did any big roller coaster so Barnstormer, SDMT and Splash Mountain will be her first experiences. I hope she likes it!

Our #1 priority on this trip is Fantasyland and the princesses for my oldest and Pooh for my youngest. That is why I booked an early breakfast ADR at CRT (8:05am). I hope this early start will allow me a good head start in Fantasyland when it opens at 9am. Last time we visited 2.5yo ago, my 5yo's favourite rides were the tea cups, Pooh (we rode it 4 times), jungle cruise and the speedway. Based on that and on her love for the princesses I came up with this plan.

Please criticize and help me with what time should I try to get the FP+ when my 60 days comes. And if you would make any changes to my plan.

6:30-6:45am: leaving resort AoA for MK
8:05am: ADR for Cinderella Royal Table

Fantasyland
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Journey of the Little Mermaid
Ariel's meet (if not at CRT)
Peter Pan
Pooh
Dumbo
Barnstormer (5yo and daddy) and Dumbo (2yo and me)
Carrousel
Mad Tea Party
It's a small world
Mickey's Philharmagic
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ (5yo and daddy) and Pooh FP+ (2yo and me) -- FP+ around 11h-11h15?

Lunch at BOG (if can get FP+ around noon) or other QS at Fantasyland or Adventureland if not available

Adventureland
Jungle Cruise
Pirates (5yo and daddy if wait is less than 30-45 minutes) & Jungle Cruise FP+ (2yo and me)
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Meet Jasmine (if not at CRT)
Meet Tinkerbell

Frontierland
Splash Mountain FP+ (5yo and daddy + baby swap for me) -- hoping the 2yo will sleep in her stroller

Liberty square, riverboat and Main Street to relax

Parade?

Tomorrowland
Speedway FP+ (5yo and me + baby swap for daddy)
Space Mountain FP+ (daddy only)
Buzz

Dinner at Cosmic Rays

Daddy will leave with 2yo after dinner and I will stay with 5yo for the evening parade and fireworks.

FP+ summary:

BOG for lunch (12:00-12:15)

Daddy: SDMT, Splash mountain & Space Mountain
Me: Pooh, Jungle cruise & Speedway
5yo: SDMT, Splash mountain and Speedway

Thank you for your input!

I think your plan will work, but I have a couple of suggestions:

I doubt that you can get out of Cinderella's Royal Table fast enough to beat the Rope Drop crowd to Enchanted Tales with Belle, and the wait for it will build very fast.

So I think FP+ for it would be advisable, though that will mess up your FP+ plan as you now have it.

Of course, the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train is a wild card in this whole thing, so I would keep an eye out on it during May and June to see if your FP+ for it seems like the best plan.

If you do FP+ Enchanted Tales, I'd go straight to Peter Pan and Pooh after Cinderella's Royal Table (and before Ariel and Under the Sea).

One minor thing: I don't know that you can get a Rider Swap pass for the Speedway, since the attraction doesn't have a height requirement (there is a height requirement to ride alone, but I don't think that counts).

What I would do if you enjoy this sort of stuff is make up a spreadsheet. One column for each day, and then each row is an hour or 1/2 hour (depending on the detail you want). Then plug in when you'll get to the parks, and block out your ADRs and any parade times or other special events that are locked-in times. Then you'll get a visual of how your day is looking and you can go from there.

At first glance... is that all one day? If so then I think it's way over-ambitious. :) All 4 lands in one day plus hitting pretty much every headliner plus some time-consuming extras like the Riverboat, 3 character greets (Jasmine, Tink, Ariel), considerable dining, and doing it all with a baby and having to Rider-Switch most rides?... nu-uh. The line for Tinkerbell alone can be 45 min or more at midday.

Try a spreadsheet, leaving a 1/2 hour block for each ride and you'll see quickly that they don't fit. I can send you mine if you'd like an example.

EDIT, adding...

Also you don't have the Tiki Room. Be sure to fit that in somewhere as you shuffle some things. Especially right after lunch when you'll be in Adventureland, it'll be wall to wall people and completely slammed. It's indoors, a nice rest, and perfect for a 2- and 5- plus only a minor wait even when Adventureland is busy.

Yes please! Do you need my e-mail address?

How much can I fit in a 1/2h block at the beginning of the day?

Thank you for your suggestions. I guess I saw too big. It's just that when we went 2 years ago (February 2012) we did even more than that with my 2.5yo dd. I'll have to decide which land I skip...

Sure. I'll PM you.

You could look over these cheat sheets if you like...

http://www.easywdw.com/category/cheat-sheets/

They're a nice start to get an idea of how you could plan things, tho do keep in mind they are for a single person, basically power-running from ride to ride. They will not apply to a family with a stroller - which is going to be doing things like stopping for snacks, parking the stroller, going to the bathroom and walking at a kid-pace which might involve just soaking in the atmosphere, a store, or taking pictures.

Here's how I think your morning fits...

Done with breakfast by 9? That would be rushing, but if so...
Enchanted Tales with Belle 9:20
Journey of the Little Mermaid 9:40
Ariel's meet (if not at CRT) 10:10
Peter Pan 10:40
Pooh 11:10
Dumbo 11:30

And, everything from here on doesn't fit to be ready for a noon lunch.

Barnstormer (5yo and daddy) and Dumbo (2yo and me)
Carrousel
Mad Tea Party
It's a small world
Mickey's Philharmagic
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ (5yo and daddy) and Pooh FP+ (2yo and me) -- FP+ around 11h-11h15?
