To start with I am truly glad there is a way for folks with mobility issues to enjoy WDW. That being said, I was appalled at the number of scooters I saw with children standing or on laps, I even saw a couple sharing the seat of a scooter and riding together. The danger to both riders and pedestrians is huge, but not once did I see a CM or security guard intervene. I saw multiple incidents involving scooters vs walkers. Not sure there is any good solutions. We were very careful around scooters and mindful of the space they need so had no incidents ourselves.

I have also read about the increased rudeness and self involvement of WDW guests. I am very happy to report that was not our experience this past week. The parks were crowded for sure but we met and spoke with more friendly people than ever before. We had some really fun games of Heads Up with strangers in line , and in general enjoyed being part of the crowd. We had a fabulous week and look forward to another trip next year.

I saw so many toddlers riding on grandma's and grandpa's lap then mom and dad were walking behind them with no stroller! It had me wondering if mom and dad ditched the stroller and just let their little one ride on the scooter.

UGH I hate hearing stuff like that! I use a scooter in the parks and I am always soooooooooooooooooooo careful, yet you see so many people doing what you mentioned above. It stinks that CM's or security do not do anything about it :(
