We just got back from the second trip i ever made to DL. First one to CA. My observations: Space Mountain is better at DL. Ride is darker than at WDW. Pirates is better! Tower of Terror is different, not sure better. Must have worked out the bugs. DL is so much smaller than the MK at WDW making it feel so much more crowded. CA is very much like MGM at WDW. My most favorite thing was seeeing the Electric Parade. I saw it at WDW in the 70's and it still brings back memories. I had a great time but I will NEVER, EVER again go during peak season. I had to go to a conference for work in San Diego and couldnt be that close without stopping. Trying to figure out if i want to do it next June when the conference is in Orlando. I had my green mickey head and only was approached by one person. Cant even remember who it was. I was in the wheel chair line for Pirates and it was loud and i have a hearing loss so i had a hard time hearing who he was.

Hi Cyberdeb,

It's hard to pass up a Disney park when you're so close. I love to experience the differences between the two parks. Makes each one special, in my opinion.

We just got back from our trip to DL as well. June is definitely a busy time, but I did notice that this year wasn't as busy as when we went last June. Probably because everyone was waiting three hours to ride Nemo. :lmao: But I can see how it can be somewhat of an adjustment to such busy-ness when you aren't used to it. I hope you did have a good time though, despite the crowds. :)

Your observations are just like mine. We just did our first WDW trip in May. You forgot to mention that DL Haunted Mansion is better too!

Yeah I did have a great time but I wouldnt do it again. I forgot NEMO. The lines were horrible, but we used the early entry to do it and it was only about a half hour wait. Subs were not even running yet. Pirates line was also very, very long.

I wasnt so sure about that. It was different, but i cant really remember why.

At DL, you walk the first scene to the doom buggies. Also the elevator is really an elevator. Also DL's has the black widow. WDW's as of yet, does not.

It's funny cuz I am a WDW vet and I saw things differently than you (not all, but some). . . goes to show how different people think of what's better and what's worse. . .

I agree 100% if they were exactly the same then there would be no appeal to go to the other, further away park to you.
