We're home now, arrived late last night....
All in all, we were very pleased with our Cypress experience. The units are very nice and our quibbles were minimal. When we next go to Disney I would like to try the Grand villas because they're a wee bit bigger and there's a nicer playground area for the kids on that side. Although my kids liked the Volcano pool better than the ones on the GV side.
The day before we left, we noticed water on the floor outside the closet where the furnace/ac is located. Called maintenence and they were there almost immediately...had it cleaned up quickly.
Check out was quick and easy. I think it was the absolute best accomodations anywhere for the $90/nt we paid. Having been there now, I know better what to ask for (better view, possibly the grandvilla side). The location was convenient, close to shopping and Disney stuff. I didn't see any building that would be really bad, as the resort is small and you'd not need to walk more than 5 minutes to get from one side to the other. Just beware that at least half of the units face parking lots.
I was struck time and time again at how quiet the resort was....only once did my IL's in the lock-out notice noise in the hallway. Their bed was against the wall with the stairway just behind it, and they said someone in the middle of the night went stomping up the stairs! But that was just rude people, not a resort issue. *grin*
Go and enjoy yourselves as it's really pretty, quiet, and luxurious. As with any place you stay, be sure you request the things that are important to you. I'll get some pics posted hopefully later.....
