I have made reservations for a Dec 2015 sailing. Hopefully, DH and I will take a last minute cruise in the next couple of months if we can get a *GT rate that works with our schedule.

If I am able to "reshop" while on my cruise:

1. How many cabins will I be able to book for the Dec 2015 cruise? I currently have 3 cabins booked for family.
2. If the category I currently have booked has changed to "gty", will I be able to keep the cabins I currently have booked?

TIA

You can book a cabin for every adult on your cruise in their name, if it's gone to GTY you most likely will not keep your stateroom number.

You can book a cabin for every adult on your cruise in their name ...

This is not correct anymore.

You can book a total of 2 staterooms for the same future cruise date PER ADDRESS represented on the current cruise. Assuming you and DH live together, you will only be able to book 2 staterooms with OBB benefits. More can be booked, but will not have full OBB benefits.

If you used a TA for the original booking, he/she should be able to reconcile the 2 reservations once you are home to keep the same staterooms. Chances of the CM onboard making that happen are iffy.

Enjoy your cruise!

Confirming that these are the current rules.

You'll be able to "reshop" two of them unless you have another adult in your party with a separate address on their current reservation.

Didn't use a TA. Didn't think I would be able to "reshop" if TA had control of the reservation. Being able to keep the staterooms we've picked is very important.

Do the addresses for parties sailing on future cruise have to match those on cruise to get OBB perks. Current cruise will just be DH & I---future cruise will be DH & I in one cabin, DD and family in 2nd and DS and famiły in 3rd.

Those sailing on the future cruise do not need to be the same address as the current cruise. But with just you and DH on the current cruise, you will only be able to get the OBB discount for 2 rooms, not three. Determining which family to give the discount to might be tough so you don't set siblings a-squabbling! :scratchin

When you reshop a TA booking, you'll actually carry 2 reservations for a few days until you are home again and contact the TA to reconcile -- essentially transfer stateroom and/or dining time if either is important, and cancel the original ressie.

FYI, I July they would only let us book one new cruise per address. We had a previously booked cruise and I don't believe it had any bearing on it but we could only book one while on board.

Were you trying to book more than one date or more than one cruise on the same date?

You are supposed to be able to book up to 2 staterooms per address of current cruising party ON THE SAME CRUISE for benefits.

I don't think you've ever been able to book more than one date and get benefits for both dates. UNLESS adults in your party have different addresses.

This was two different dates.....I guess that is the difference now.

A couple years ago we were allowed to book 2 cruises, one for each adult as lead passenger. We booked a confirmed date and a "place holder" that was later changed.

Thanks everyone!

Since DS is "iffy" about being able to go, I'll I just plan to reshop for myself and DD's family.
