Is the OBB discount taken from the cruise price before taxes and port fees or after?

It is off the base price.

Port taxes and fees are not included because the ship doesn't get a percentage off of those.

how come i can't see this on the reservation when i pull it up online?

The price on your reservation is the discounted price, they do not show it as the regular price with a discount taken off. If you want to see the non-discounted price of your fares, take each fare (adult or child) and divide it by 0.9. You can then compare that fare price to current fares for the same cabin category and guest type.

the price showing online now IS the same as the price that I paid. so i don't see how i got a discount.

i booked from the U.K. with OBB. I compared the online price to the price I got whilst on the telephone. The discount was very marginal- nothing like 10%.

There is no discount for port taxes and fees. Sometimes those come very close to the 10% mark.

thanks everyone. i hate the lack of transparency on the accounting for the DCL reservation. Would be nice to see it all laid out - price of cruise - 10% plus port fees.

Agreed. If you're concerned about whether the discount was applied, I do recommend calling Disney to check.
