Can I do an OBB for 2 cabins for a family friend when I'm cruising in Aug. They have already booked 2 cabins for Dec 2015 & I was wondering if I could reshop the booking for them and book it if the would save money with the 10% discount & OBC. Thanks in advance.

Firstly if they booked on opening day there is a very good change it's not worth it as the price could have gone up.

You can book two staterooms for the same cruise on the ship with the perks.

They could loose the stateroom and early/ late dinner.

Some on ship agents insist that at least one person in each room is on that cruise others allow the two rooms to be booked and not insist on that.

I hate to subject everyone to this but here goes...

We are booked on a 10/2015 Fantasy sailing. We will also be sailing on 10/2014. Extended family would now like to join us on 10/2015. Are there any benefits for us to book 2 cabins for them while we are on-board on 10/2014?

Thanks for any info! :goodvibes

I agree with this last statement...it all depends on the agent you have. I had one that wasn't going to let us use one room to book two cabins on one date and the other room to book two cabins on another date because both were registered to the same address (my mother lives with us). I argued with them about what it mattered who was going if the policy was you could reserve two cabins per request per cabin for a single date. I don't remember if I got them to budge on it or not. Seems like I may have with a strict lecture it was against the rules.

Different occasion, I tried to book for others to add them to our cruise like you've requested and they wouldn't allow the benefits. I could book if I had all of their personal details (address, dob, email, etc) and paid their deposit, but no benefit to them doing it online at home. I've read where others were successful in receiving benefits at times. Good luck!

You can book two staterooms per address sailing with full OBB benefits. If it's a 7-night cruise this includes 10% discount of fare, 10% deposit instead of 20%, and a $200 OBC. It has to be within 18 months of your cruise date.

You have to have the information for everyone who will be in the rooms you book to do the full reservation onboard and pay the deposit as well. There is not an option for making the booking off the ship in any way.

Lisa...so thankful for all of your DCL knowledge!

So even though we wouldn't be booking a room for ourselves, we could book 2 rooms for the extended family on our sailing and they would get all of the OBB benefits? Wow! Great news! Thanks! :thumbsup2

That's how it's suppose to work, but as noted above some OBB agents don't know the correct information [just like the 800# CMs at times]. Many haven't had a problem doing it just this way for family or even just friends, so that proves that the system allows it.
