We are considering this for Nov. visit. Usually rent a house, but we are almost never there and were thinking of cutting the cost of rental.

We have to have kitchen b/c of son's food allergies.

We stayed at Liki Tiki Village for a short trip in '05 and like this style resort. Just wondering if anyone actually ever stayed at Oak Plantation Resort.

TIA

I have not stayed at this property. Many people here on the DIS stay at Cypress Pointe Villa's and have nothing but good things to say. They have the kitchen's and space of a rental home, and they're reasonably priced.

We own a unit here, but have never stayed there ourselves. We usually end up trading for either a VA or SC condo since we also own at HGVC SeaWorld and usually stay there or somewhere that gives me a hefty T/A discount.
I rented our unit two years ago to a client and he said it was nice, very intimate and family friendly. If you're looking for a busy mega resort, this ain't it. They have a tiki bar by the pool too, which is always a plus! But he told me the unit (at least the one we own) was very well-kept, as were the grounds and that the employees were friendly and helpful.

This is the only place we've ever stayed in 5 trips to Disney. It's a nice complex, but honestly, the rooms are showing their age a bit. They're in the process of remodeling. I'd say it's about a 15 minute ride to Disney, with great access to Super Walmart and a slew of restaurants. It's a nice place to stay.

We have stayed here a couple of times and really liked it, but as was said, the rooms and the resort are starting to show their age. Each time we stayed there it semed to be a little more run down. If you do go and have small kids, ask for room 1515, I believe. It is close to the kiddie water area. I don't know if it is still a problem, but there was a lot of construction in the area the last time we were there. It made for a long drive to the parks.

TIA - have you looked at the vacation rentals through SkyAuction? You may be able to get a great deal there for November.

DH and I are going to Williamsburg in November for a getaway and will probably use them to book a place. You can't beat $300 something for a weeks stay.

Good luck to you and have a great trip!

One of my friends stayed here and liked it. No details, but I do remember her saying they enjoyed their stay.
