Oak Plantation or Vistana Village?

I saw some excellent prices for Oak Plantation through Vacation Works, @ $58.00 per night, and I wondered how it compares to Vistana Villages which was about twice the price. Has anybody here used Vacation Works ? If so, are they a good company to deal with? Also, I'm interested in hearing reports on Oak Plantation, particularily from anyone who has stayed at Vistana Villages as well. I see lots of good reviews for Vistana, but the price for Oak Plantation is comparable to the price we would pay for Amerisuites, so that seems like a much better value to me. Vistana Village is new and upscale. Oak plantation is older and less than upscale!

This past May we stayed at at both resorts. Two nights at Oak Plantation and 7 nights at Vistana Villages. Oak Plantation would not be my choice. The units are older and not as nice, they don't have decks or patios and the drive is further to WDW. Vistana Villages is by far a much nicer resort, the units are wonderfu, and the drive is better and closerl.

We have stayed at Oak Plantation twice in the larger 1 bedroom unit. We stayed there in Sep. '99 and early Dec. '99. Traffic is not bad at that time so the commute was fine. We stayed at VV for 10 nights last Jan. in a 2 bedroom. We got an outrageous rate of $79 a night through HotelKingdom right after the terrorist attack had sucked the air out of the travel industry. The rates for VV have definitely bounced back up. If I could stay at OP for about half to 2/3 of what VV prices are going for and I were going to spend a ton of time in the parks, I would consider it. Obviously, VV is much nicer than OP but we had perfectly nice stays at OP.
