Headed to Las Vegas in 2 weeks:cool1: and am looking for some restaurant recommendations. Looking for some fun, good, and reasonably priced:lmao: places to eat. Thanks!

Will you have a car or need to stick to places on the Strip? If that is where you are staying...

I will also be out there in a few weeks. I found a place called Hash House a Go Go for breakfast that looks great with big portions. Restaurant.com has cheap $10 gc's for breakfast use. I hope it's good!

Some favorites of mine:

Burger Bar (located in the shops between Luxor and Mandalay Bay). Their prices are quite reasonable for Vegas and they have awesome hamburgers in several varieites.

Flamingo Buffet (lunch) - Pretty classic style Vegas buffet with above average food, nice environment, and a decent price at lunch. You can get a window table overlooking their wildlife habitat, which is fun. It's also in a great location for lunch, very central on the strip.

Mr Lucky's (Hard Rock Hotel) - This is a nice coffee shop that does a very tasty breakfast and good lunch/dinner as well. They have a very famous steak & shrimp special at dinner time. It costs $7.77 and it's not on the menu, so just ask the waitress for the "steak special". It's a great bargain on a good, full meal. Walk around the hotel and check out all the cool memorabilia.

Capriotti's (Several locations around Vegas and in some off-strip casinos). This shop makes amazing sub sandwiches. My favorite is the "Bobbie" which is like thanksgiving (turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberries) on a roll. Their small sandwiches could easily be split between 2 light eaters, and 2 linebackers could share a large, making this a very inexpensive meal.

Hope you have a great time!

If you have a car...and like Thai...

Check out Lotus of Siam - off the north strip near The Sahara. The restaurant is located in a semi run-down plaza, but the restaurant itself is fantastic and inexpensive. Dinner reservations are a MUST unless you get there right when they open. It's extremely popular.

I'm still dreaming about my meal there...

I'm also going in 2 weeks. Small world. My favorite food in Vegas is a pastrami sandwich from the Stage Deli. I'm starting to drool just thinking about it. We enjoyed the Steakhouse at Circus Circus. The breakfast buffet at Paris is awesome. We also enjoy PF Changs and the Cheesecake Factory- I know they are chains but we don't have any near by so its a treat for us. Last summer we ate at the Statosphere tower and really liked it. It doesn't get the best reviews but we were surprised. We may try Delmonico this trip or VooDoo Steak at the Rio. Good luck on your trip planning.

OMG, Hash House is awesome!!! The portions are enormous. The pancake is the biggest pancake I have ever eaten. You will love it. We are going to Vegas in a few weeks too so I will have to look at the restaurant.com gc.

It's a bit pricey, but the best meal we've had in Vegas was at Top Of the World at the top of the Stratosphere. We went at lunch time so it was only $30 or $40 for each of us. Plus when you eat there, you don't have to pay the ticket price to go to the top of the Stratosphere that they charge non-restaurant patrons. The cost of that would've been at least $10-12 each anyway just to go up.

breakfast at the Village Buffet in Paris. It is not cheap but it is great value for the dollar. It's been a couple years since I've been so the price may have changed, but it was $13.95 per person plus tip for a fabulous enormous breakfast spread. I abhor, loathe, despise buffets in general, but LOVE this one! It includes non-alcoholic beverages, and has everything from fresh pastries, made to order omelets, every breakfast meat known to mankind, made to order blintzes, fresh waffles, tons of fresh fruit, cheeses, smoked fish, crusty bread, and even a box of Corn Flakes if you must.

the crowning touch to end my meal is a decadent fluffy hot waffle smothered in Nutella and whipped cream.

AFter breakfast here, we usually skip lunch and just have a snack.

We've been there a couple of times for lunch and agree. The food was quite good, and I enjoyed the view. It can be pricey, but it's much better than dinner and it's nice to get the tower visit included. Each time we've gone it's been all but deserted, which was kind of nice.

I did not enjoy the walk (and walk, and walk) to the tower, but I guess it worked off some of that lunch!

We ate at Emerils restaurant at the Venetian and it was really good. Its a white tablecloth kind of restaurant.

Thank you for so many replies! Keep 'em coming! :thumbsup2 We will have a car, so getting from place to place won't be a problem. We will be staying at the Wynn and may have one dinner there, not sure. We have 4 nights. Love the idea of eating lunch at the Stratosphere! We do have shows for two of the nights and prefer to eat before the shows, so dinner would be like 6pm.

if you are a country music fan or even if you aren't, Harrahs has a restaurtant based on toby keiths song, I love this bar...but its I love this bar and grill! the food is delicious and you won't go home hungry. There are tons of good places to eat in Vegas and most of them are reasonibly priced! I just got back from vegas a week ago! :cool1:

Canter's Deli at TI is excellent, and it's an offshoot of the original location at Fairfax in L.A. (which is an institution). We love the knishes and the grilled kosher dogs. Their sandwiches are huge also. Studio Cafe at MGM Grand is pretty good, as is the HOB at Mandalay Bay. There's an Earl of Sandwich at the Planet Hollywood if you like those sandwiches. You'll also find all the destination chains like Rainforest Cafe, Margaritaville, HOB, Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, ,etc. Also, Ghiradelli ice cream shop is located near Harrah's and Imperial Palace (two rather dumpy casinos). If you're into buffets, the best deal in town is the Orleans Buffet. It's off the strip on Flamingo and caters to locals, which makes it less of a tourist trap. You can get breakfast for $6.95, lunch for $7.95, and dinner for about $15.00 (which includes a different special each night).

This food is better than most buffets at that price range. If you want to splurge, the buffet at the Wynn is awesome and pricey. Cravings at the Mirage is also one of our favorites.

Sorry, but this restaurant and the resort are both dumps. I wouldn't bother with it.:scared1:

On the strip I agree with the Grand Lux! We also really like Wolfgang Puck's restaurant at the Forum shops, I think that one's Spago. I always get them confused! We don't eat on the strip that often. Since you are staying at the Wynn you should check out the sweet shop. I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, though. Off the strip, I would recommend The Elephant Bar at The District at Green Valley Ranch. The steak sandwhich is awesome. If you go to Freemont Street check out the Four Queens there is a small bar for a local brewery with awesome pizza. It's called Chicago something. Have fun!

As someone who goes to LV every year, I have to second the Paris buffet for breakfast! We do that every trip.

Dinner a good buffet is the one at the Rio. It's got more choices than any I've ever seen.

The Range Steakhouse at Harrah's is really nice, good food. On the pricey side, but not as high as Top of the World. We have been to both and actually liked the food at the Range better, it also has windows looking out on the Strip, but the view is awesome at Top of the World.

Grand Luxe at Venitian is good, too.

I can't recall the name of it, but there was an awesome burger place at Paris, as well.

Have fun :)

My favs:

Lotus of Siam (I really like the $9 lunch buffet)

Grand Lux - you get enough food for two meals at around $13 each

Capriottis - great subs - I like the Capistrami

Ellis Island - $6.99 steak dinner with beer or rootbeer is quite tasty

Best lunch bargain - Rosemarys - #1 rated restaurant on TripAdvisor - Download coupon for three course lunch for $23

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

The Burgar Bar is fantastic!!! And everyone can find something they will like, its a "Build Your Own Burger Pick your bun, meat, toppings and condiments"

I agree, but my personal favorite is the Spice Market buffet in the Aladin (but I think the Aladin may be called something different now). It's right next to Paris.
