I know, I know, it's never became an official holiday..............

Wouldn't it have been nice to have a long weekend just about now!

Apparently SOME people ARE having a long weekend :teeth: ... my DS's daycare is closed today because of Heritage Day. The daycare is considered part of the hospital, so since the hospital gets it, so does the daycare. And since I DON'T get the holiday, Grandma gets DS! :rotfl:

I'd take it if I could get it. I think FAMILY day is a great idea. We could spend the day watching movies and playing Disney Scene-It. :thumbsup2 Or better yet, have a Family DIS meet!

Happy Family Day, everyone!

Today is Heritage Day at DH's work and a day off, but he's away on business this week so I guess he'll be taking the day another time. ie: probably during golfing season!

Happy Family Day!

It's a holiday for us here. We're headed into the city to partake in a few activities downtown.

We plan a family day in February. It can be any day we choose, but we always pick a Saturday. The feeling lingers on into Sunday. We shop for one another, wrap presents, have special snacks around the house, and play games or do whatever we can think of that's special. It's called a Family Day, and we look forward to surprising each other, living, loving, laughing.

Ontario needs a holiday in February (Family Day, Flag Day or whatever). It is too long between New Year's and Easter.

Our hospital had a stat last Monday....but for once I got to work the stat following the weekend, usually I work the w/e but never get the benefit of working the Stat! :cool1: A FT nurse asked me to work...Yeah more $$ for the Disney fund!!

No holiday here--just another Monday. :( I agree that it would be very nice to have a long weekend sometime between New Year's and Easter. It's a long time even when you are busy planning an April trip. On the positive side, only 67 more days to go! :cool1: :cool1:
