Help! I am looking for your DD or Ds (5 or 6) favorite game boy games? Santa got her the gameboy advance for Christmas but we dont want to spend money on games that kids dont like. What is your childs favorite game and what ones dont they like? I know she might like ndogs but beyond that I have no idea? Also do you buy ever from half.com? Thanks for the help!!!!

we went to eb games where they really explained how games that are their fav characters may still be too advanced. We bought a used Dora, a care bears & sponge bob. EbGames was very good at talking us thru the purchases

I would check epinions or an online gaming site for specific reviews if there is a "girl" game she might like-for example Barbie or Dora, etc...

My DS is 9, but has had his GB (first Color, then Advance, now Advance SP) for about 4 years. We started off with basic games and he really enjoys the Mario games. They are cute and easy to learn for the most part. There are even some "party" games for the GBA that are fairly easy & fun.

I think Nintendogs is only for the Nintendo DS.

Although I did see a game called "Dogz" at Best Buy this weekend that might be the same that is good for the Gameboy Advance??

I agree with some of the Mario Games. That being said, we found that one is pretty difficult..it was Yoshis something or other.

Last night I was at Wal-Mart and I saw they had a special Kiosk of Gameboy games for 14.88...they included Disney Princesses and some Jimmy Neutron games too.

My 5yo DS loves Pacman. There's a game with classic games like Pacman, Ms. Pacman, Galaga, and Pole Position...Namco Classics or something like that. He loves that game. He also likes Mario Brothers. My DD had a Barbie dress up game that she liked when she was younger. It really was just a click and add outfits kind of thing. DS likes Frogger too.

My DD9 has the Disney Princess game & I was surprised how much she likes it. She is SO not a princess princess:

There is a Pokemon pinball game that my son loved when he was around that age.

I second checking out the used games at EB Games. Those are great for stocking stuffers.

My DD 5 has really enjoyed Barbie Groovy Games for the GBA. She recently got the Barbie Horse Adventure and it seems just a little too hard for her. She has had the Disney Princess Game forever and plays it off and on. Now that her brother has gotten a PSP, his GBASP is sitting around so she's snagged that instead of her old GBA and certainly is more able to see and play the games on that. We have debated her getting her own for Xmas or birthday (which is in two weeks) but as long as she's ok w/borrowing, I don't see a need for another game system in my house.

With bigger boys always around our house, she has had a GBA probably since she was about 3. We have all the Mario games, the Disney movie games (i.e. Monsters, Nemo, etc), and several racing ones. She really doesn't have much interest in any of those. She sticks to her Barbie game(s) and is happy w/that.

We just bought a Gameboy cartridge for DD that has Candyland, Churtes and Ladders and Classic Memory on it. I think this one would be perfect for a 5 year old.

I bought dd the disney princess game and the power puff girls. she hasnt played them yet since its a christmas present!!

But--when she played my bro. GBA--she loved SIMS for some reason!!!!

I got my 7 yr. old granddaughter "Mickey's Dangerous Chase" (so she and her 33 year old mother can fight over it - LOL) and Tetrus.. Tetrus may be a little too advanced for some of the younger kids, by my DGD has been playing it on my Game Boy at the lake for years and really enjoys the challenge.. :flower:

DD 6 really likes the Disney Princess game, and also the Mario Pinball Land game. She'll also play the Lilo and Stitch game and Super Mario 3 game although she has me help her with that one sometimes to get her through the "tough spots".

I don't have a DD, but I do have a DS5 that just turned into a DS6.

I purchased Disney Sports Football and he enjoys that. It's very easy and he enjoys it. He loves being Mickey's team playing against other Disney character teams such as Donald, Goofy, etc...

That being said, your DD is probably not into football...but, she may be into other sports. I've seen Disney Sports Soccer for the GBA and it looks like an easy and fun game for soccer fans.

These Disney Sports games are a few years old and can be harder to find. You probably won't see them at Wal-Mart. I've actually been looking for the Disney Sports Soccer for Gamecube...but, I'm having a hard time finding it.

Anyway...if you are interested in the soccer game, try a search for "Disney Sports Soccer" on http://www.froogle.com

Good Luck...

We bought that one for my 5 yr. old too. I think they just came out with this series of Gameboy games with different board games on them because I don't remember seeing them when my kids got their Gameboys in the spring. We got the one you mentioned (my ds LOVES Memory) and another one with Connect Four and two other games. Unfortunately I hid that one a little too well  and can't find it - may have to go acquire another one tonight at Target!!

My dd is 5 and she likes the Dora the Explorer pirate pigs adventure and the disney princess one (this one is kinda hard for her). She also has the dora super stars adventure but she doesn't like this one as well. We also have mario 3 or something like that but it's way too hard for her.
Pirate pigs adv. is cute and fun even my dd10 likes to play it.
