Be prepared for crowds, crowds and more crowds. From Dec 22 through New Years you will see more people in WDW than ever before. I would definitely recommend not going during that time if you can avoid it. 60-90 minute waits on everything!!!!

Do you mean even with the fast passes its still 60 min. wait or more, or just in the reg. line? Anyone else have any opinions? Thanks, Tink

We have gone the last few years during that time, and it gets extremely crowded after Dec. 25. But if you get to the parks EARLY and leave in the early afternoon you will be ok. If you want to go back at night just plan on hitting some shows, or just to enjoy the atmosphere b/c the lines are too long to wait for most rides. EARLY, EARLY, EARLY and use the evenings for relaxation at the parks to take in the holiday lights and things.

Yes, they're that bad. Can you say 'Spam in a can'? Cuz that's what it's like during Christmas/New Years break.

President's week will be busy, but not as busy as Christmas. You may still have 60 minute waits, but the aren' likely to top 2 hours, as they can at Christmas. Worst thing about Christmas/New Year is, it really can be shoulder-to-shoulder and the parks do close due to capacity. Unless you REALLY MUST go at the holidays, avoid them like the plague.

I've been 4 times between Christmas and NYE, this year will be my 4th. Yes, it is crowded! But, as a previous poster mentioned, go as soon as the parks open and plan to leave 3-4 hours later and you will be fine. We always get tempted to sleep in and not hit the parks until 10 or 11, that's a mistake. Get there early, use fast pass, and just have a good attitude and you'll be fine. This year I will be in WDW from December 26-January 8 and I am really looking forward to it. Crowds or no crowds we will just go with a good attitude and have fun! :thumbsup2

Ditto! We are always there from about Dec 20-28. Do the early entry out in the afternoon. You should be in good shape. You are leaving just in time Oh yea-- don't go planned to see and do everything. Take your time and enjoy what you can.

Have a great trip

Last year, crowds seemed low to us (much less crowded than during our October trip!!!!) until Christmas afternoon. Christmas night, MK was EMPTY -- as in no wait for much of anything!!! The day after Christmas, MK and Epcot were a zoo. We stuck to MGM and AK and did just fine. We found WDW to be much, much busier during our fall and spring breaks than during the days before and up until Christmas Day. I've posted some pictures on here in the past showing how empty Fantasyland was mid-morning on Christmas Day this past year. Of course, we left the MK by 11; so we didn't experience the supposed "crush" in the afternoon.
